Thread: Possible Solution for Player Housing... Versus Building Purge

The problem with player housing is that there are too many structures left behind, draining infinite bank accounts, and taking up space on the various servers, correct?

Why not simply remove automatic bank payments? Originally, structures would despawn if left unpaid for 30 days. This was a problem and many complained, so you could even go as many as 60 or 90 days. This would resolve the problem of various city structures left behind, now belonging to other persons, housing vendors, or being maintenanced by other persons. It would also remove buildings long abandoned, clearing up server space and optimizing server speed and framerate.

At any rate, it's just an idea.

A purge may do the same, but many players will be thoroughly upset when PA halls vanish that housed entire guilds or malls, and the original owners are long gone. It's food for thought, and might avoid the inevitable customer service nightmare inherent with a purge.

i agree, i for one hate seeing condemed buildings/harvestors ! several cities i know are populated by people that have quit the game .. It doesnt seem fair that they can hog the tier 3/4 city levels for ever !
