Sunrunner, Tatooine has 11 cities that have shuttleports. According to the holocron and everything I read, the limit is 10 cities level 4 and above. Whats up with that?

and yes, I'm one of the Townships with 55+ citizens in it :/

UPDATE: 2 of the cities with Shuttles have fallen to level 3 township. 1 has 49 citizens, the other 53. Each still have the shuttles and are still working.

My city advancement is tomorrow. Hopefully now that we have only 9 cities on tatooine that are at level 4 status, I will still be able to move up and also place a shuttleport.

it sure does BUG me

I just checked all of the cities and 1 is below 55 (currently at 49). Its city update is in a few days, so i'll wait and see what happens.

Since it gives you a window to get your citizen count back up before losing your status, you would think it wouldnt allow a city to move up until the other hasoffically moved down.

from what i've read. the main planets, tat, correllia and naboo can only have 10 level 4 and up. I believe the moons and other planets can have 15 or 20. my city update is in a few days. I'll post what happens. Hopefully good news.

Unless it's been changed, there's no window to get the count back up before losing status. If youlack the citizens for a level at city update, you drop down a level (and radius) immediately. There is, however, a window until the next city updatebefore losing any civic structures or other perks.

For example, say you're a level 4 city with shuttleport. At the city update, you're down to 52 citizens. You drop down to level 3, and city radius decreases (usually resulting in an additional loss of citizens whose declared homes are now outside the new, smaller city radius). The shuttleport is still there, though, until the next city update. If you manage to get back up to 55 citizens (within the new radius) by then, you're back to level 4. If not, bye-bye shuttle.

We went through this in New Haven a few months back, and managed to get back up to about 57 citizens right under the wire to save the shuttle.

From the FAQ stickied up top:

Q: If my city falls below the rank required for a city structure, what happens to the structure?

A: Civic Structures (banks, cloning centers, garages, shuttleports, gardens) depend on the city rank in order to exist. If a city falls below that required rank at the time of the city update, the civic structure will be destroyed. Any civic structures outside of thedemoted city's radius will be destroyed. Player-placed commercial structures (cantinas, hospitals, theaters) are not affected by city rank once they are placed. If you fall below 10 citizens at the time of your city update, your radius shrinks to Outpost size; you must have at least 10 citizens in 24 hours or the city hall will disappear along with the city treasury.

The extra shuttleport on a planet is a bug in the system. One of those cities doesn't have a shuttleport, even though they are still showing on the map. You can still shuttle there, but you'll be standing where the shuttleport used to be with no way to shuttle back out.

I have been to all 11 shuttles on this planet and each had an active shuttle in which i could shuttle in (and out of).

Althought I have seen what you mentioned above, this does not appear to be the case.

You should get it, UNLESS someone else's city hit 55 before yours did and has been waiting longer. I think that puts them ahead of you.

There is no waiting queue. Once the system recognizes that a slot has opened (sometimes it takes a while for it to realize this which leads to more than 10 ports), whichever city's update cycle is nearest will get the slot.

You can still have the shuttleport at level 3. I think it's at level 2 where you might have trouble.
