Has the idea of Faction Aligned players cities been revisited since the changes to the TEF system and the CU?

I'd really love to see this idea revisited I think it has a ton of potential for GCW immersion. I would think this would work as a city specialization.

Where as, a city can be aligned with a faction, and when the planet where said city resides is controlled by the faction the city sides with, will then be patrolled by NPC's of that faction.

i.e. A town that is Imperial, will have Imperial troops patrolling the 'streets' if the planet it is located on is Imperial. There, factional city.

Also, wich this I picked up from the GCW forum a second ago. Turrets, have a huge footprint making it impossible to place almost anywhere, eliminating point defenses. Make the foot print much smaller so that they can be placed inside a city. They are destructible, so there would be no problem.

There have been several conversations over in the Politician forum about this. Thunderheart has made several statements about it, and it's not really a feasible thing because cities are supposed to be permanent where GCW structures are supposed to be blown up. It's a fundamental road-block to adding Player City-specific factional items.

All GCW structures can be, and will continue to be, placed in Player Cities to allow them to add factional content. That's the only factional content Player Cities will probably see, though.
