If I have an alt that put up a vendor, how long will that vendor stay online after my alt stops playing?

Won't I be able to buy a game card every once and awhile and re-activate my account as-is? What if, while my account is dorment, I bank tipped my alt... would the maintenance auto-deducted out of the account?

You are going to have a cpl different things to contend with.
1. IF you are using the merchant simply for storage, and no one browses it, the merchant will be considered inactive, and inactive merchants go on the destruction timer.
2. After a while everything listed will be delisted, and empty merchants have a short timer to destruction regardless of maintenance.
so to avoid them poofing, they need to be browsed every now and then, thye need their maintenance and the stock needs to get relisted ocassionaly (sales last 29 days)

Well, here's the deal; I'm using the vendor to give my "museum" an overhead map label, that's it. Don't have any items that I care about on there, but I can browse it every couple of days so i's not inactive. Can a merchant give admin rights to another player?

Can a merchant give admin rights to another player?
Couple responses to this thread:
1). The only person that can access the admin elements of a vendor is the merchant who placed it.
2) Regarding items listing, all items are ON SALE (publicly available) for 29 days, after that they go into the Stockroom (you get an Auction Unsuccessful email) where they will sit for 59 days. After the 59-day Stockroom period elapses, the items will (apparently) disappear from the stockroom (you'll receive an Auction Expired email).
Suggestion
Great idea using the vendor for an overhead marker, but why not make some cash? You could have a low-level artisan friend make up T-shirts with the name of your musem, or perhaps those ever-useful 20-sided dice and then list them for whatever you like.
For example, make up T-shirts saying "I Went To Your Museum and All I Got Was This Lousy 500cr T-Shirt" or another item named "Museum Benefactors - We Love You" and list them for whatever you like. If you're in a city, let your residents and friends know and they will probably buy something to help support your great efforts.
