Thread: Question on housepacking.Will you be able to move houses to any planet or just specific?

Example: Corellian house...can it be packed to goto a Lok house?


I doubt it as they are planet specific. But, honestly, the Corellian/Generic houses have a boring floorplan. I really like Tat houses and Naboo houses, but our guildcity is based on Talus.


I'm pretty sure the answer is going to be just planet specified. Which means Generic house people will be able to move anywhere, but planet-specific houses will get kinda screwed. For many people who will wish to move, wont be able to.




Also, how many houses will we be able to pack up?



Lastly, is this going to add to the functionality of server moving?

Planet specific....


As many as you have lots for....


Not likely, as no server merge will likely include more than credits and skills....

Jedi will never be a starting profession...Looted items and quest items will never be better then crafted items, this is not a loot based game...CH will return shortly...CH and BE will not be back in game...Rangers are getting their revamp next!...The stealth system will not be changing in the spy expertise...Need any more examples of things the devs said that did not hold true?

Does House Packing lead the way for the devs to automatically remove (i.e. pack-your-stuff-you're-outta-here) the houses of long-inactive characters and free up the space for active players?

Everyone I know is really up-in-arms about the fact that all these inactive-player structures are ruining valuable terrain and city space. There is supposed to be a purge coming (no ETA) but would Auto House Packing after 90-180 days meet the middle ground for inactive accounts that might come back, while freeing up space in the galaxy? If you come back after six months, that's cool... but you can't expect to keep real estate in perpetuity if you haven't been around.

Thoughts?

From what i've read recently the House Packing system is a step towards the upcoming character purge. Of course ppl want to have things to return to *IF* they return hence why they introduced the condemned structures... which imho was a very bad choice at that particular point in the game. Nothing worse then running into a field of burning harvestors or rolling up on these abandoned cities. They are certainly taking up way too much land.


Personally, I would have liked to see the House Packing feature introduced long ago... maybe this would have solved the big issue of ppl not wanting to remove everything from their homes and put it in their banks or inventory to take down their houses.
