What if, Mayors could designate their city as belonging to a particular faction?
This would work just like the NPC's within the factionally controlled NPC cities. Maybe even allow the mayor to define spawn points and patrol waypoints that must be within city limits.
The reason I bring this idea here is because trying to find a place to change faction status is becoming harder and harder because;
- Can't enter Special Forces unless you are declared Special Forces.
- Special Forces don't have any NPC's outside (if they do, or are meant to, ours must be bugged because they never do)
- Combatant bases, which you also can't enter unless declared Combatant, at least have NPC's outside which you can converse with to change factional status, but the problem is they are taken down literally 5 minutes after being erected because the servers local lamers with their one man demo team make it their personal mission to destroy all these bases as soon as they go up.
There are other ways to address this, such as changing the requirements for base take downs, but this still doesn't change the other facts and still allows the Combatant bases to be taken down care free with minimal support and organisation, but I the idea I had could bring somehting new and exciting to the game, as opposed to just subtracting whats already there.
I must admit, this is my first time on this board and this idea has most likely already been suggested, but if not, it has now

Its been brought up before on the politican forum. A dev asked what buildings and stuff we wanted to see for the "GCW revamp" which im sure was tossed out a log time a go. Im sure its still sitting on a desk somewhere. There was also a thread on what kind of specialty buildings we wanted to see and stuff.but again that was eons ago.
