I know in at least Theed the hotel you can go to the event cordinator and rent decorations and such. This is where you will find the lottery droid's, Imp and Rebel decorations you can rent and place for 15 hours, games and more. It would be cool to have a hotel for a player city especially the older ones that are still around and active. I would love to see Condo's like around Mos Eisley that are 3 floors and are really cool. They need to spice up player cities and housing more it is definately becoming boring to see clone houses.

Originally, before player cities, an entertainer only healed in Cantinas, Theatres... and Hotels. In fact there are some cities with neither a cantina nor a theatre... only a hotel. Restuss on Rori (an original starting city) is an example of this.

Later as content was added (most especially player cities) the hotel became a rarely, if ever, used assest. The gambling tables and npc missions are now the only reason I ever see anyone in any hotel. My, I had so many hours happily wasted in RP with entertainers and enemies in the Restuss hotel.

My favorite battle happened in that hotel. I walked in on a bunch of overts. I did an area action disease on the entire group followed by a mind disease before they killed me. It was marvelous watching the entertainers not able todance and the docs not able to heal because their entire action and mind bars were black. Ahhh.... those were the days.

Also hotels allow for faster log outs. It was also orignally set as a safe place to log outand in again. I am not sure if they changed the LD timers or not but it is or is supposed to be 10 minutes that your character is in the LD state open for attack while not in a structure or city, something like 30 seconds when in a city and instant when in a house or hotel.

I had to go to the Bestine Hotel and entertain for one of the Mos Eisly Badges.
