Is there a way to lower the light sources that come with a house, to make a room darker. For example, in a med Tat house, the upstairs bedroom has a light source coming from the domed ceiling, Is it possible cut some, if not all, of that light down.

I'd love to be able to do this. I recently put 2 aqua-blueish lights in the main hall of my house and it sets a really cool mood, except where the light is overpowered by the built-in lights.

Yes, please!! Even if you cannot do it server-side right at the moment, at least give us a client-side switch that we can toggle back -n- forth in the meanwhile to turn those blasted wall lamps off.
In fact..
Ideal Solution (server-side):
- object-ize all of the built-in wall lamps in a player house
- add radial options to all lamps and candles to TurnOff(Snuff) and TurnOf(Light) individually
- radial options available to all house admins
- hike storage limits by a few units to account for the wall lamps being objects
Quick-fix Solution (client-side only):
- add Graphics config tab option to enable/disable rendering with player house wall lamps as directed light source (client-side fix only, would have to tell your friends to toggle it)
Quick-fix Solution #2 (server-side only):
- remove the wall lamps, and let us use player-crafted lamps to light the place up
- hike item storage limits by a few units, to account for the NEED for crafted light sources
Middle of the Road Solution (server-side):
- Option on the Structure Management terminal to enable/disable all built-in wall lamps in the house
