PlayerStructures
- All maintenance fees will automatically attempt to deduct from Bank accounts after the maintenance pool has been depleted. Once a structure reaches 0 hitpoints, it will flag itself as condemned instead of deleting itself. Condemned houses are not enterable, and all other structures are not usable. To uncondemn a house, simply enter it with enough money in the bank to pay the repair cost. To uncondemn all other structures, use them with enough money in the bank to pay the costs.
THIS IS 100% WRONG
The problem of inactive players in our cities is one that is HUGE. Their houses and factories are in the city taking up room. With Mayors being powerless to evict or force people to move out all we can hope for is that the houses will soon decay and burn down. Now with this new feature the houses will be there for... EVER?????? This is an outrage to politicians and there cities. Sometimes people leave the game for reasons that force them to go suddenly. What are we to do now? If we ever try to move stuff around in the city (which I have tried many times to do) we have to build around there houses and factories. If you have multiple inactive citizens you are screwed.
Either do not put this feature in or redo the politician's powers to give him the right over kicking people and structures out of the city.
Can any devs or correspondents give some insight here please.

How is this gonna help with a player that just switched the galaxy? In addition 6 months is far too long.

maybe if they did it for only a week that a house was condemned...then after that it would go poof.

What if someone placed a house and just doesn't care enough to remove it and keeps no money in the bank? OR as a previous posted mentioned - they play on another galaxy now. When a city is home to a large guild, finding a place for new houses is always a challenge. IF none of the old ones go poof (or are around for a minimum of 6 months even), how is a large city to thrive and continue to accept new citizens as old ones leave?
This appears to be an idea that was not completely thought out -- please please please listen to the poor Politicians. They function in this game is to create, run and mold player cities -- which is challenging enough with their limited powers. Please do not implement this change in the manner it currently exists.
You want to give them a condemed status? Fine but limit it to 30 days at the most. People need to have some responsibility for their structures - please don't try to idiot proof it.
