Why dont player cities, trainers fees go towards or a certain percentage towards teh city funds? This is an excellent idea, at least i think. Help pay for stuff, even if it is a smalll percentage.

I'm agaist this myself.
Their are to many player cities as it is right now if you make it easier to pay for it to fuels the problem
But if it was up to me I'd make player cities so expensive that their would only be a few of them around.
My problem with so many player cities is it takes away from the community aspect of the game. instead of getting a large community that seems to have many players always on you get these little ones that make half the world seem like a ghost town.
But is this only a opinion

Well by having so many player cities is everything is all spread out.
If their where less player cities people would have to work together in larger communities to get things done. Like have a player city. Sure there are alot of small communities but I think its better to have several large communities than 100 small ones. Easier to find a doctor, entertainer, group, items. If everyone is spread out their maybe be 3 entertainers on a planet but over 15 cities...Where do you go to look for one? If there are 5 cities and 3 entertainers chances are you find one sooner and and save travel and playing time for funnier things than looking for a entertainer to mind buff or what ever...( keep in mind the 3 entertainers on a whole planet is a example I know most planets have alot more than that at any given time)
If everyone and their uncle has a player city its makes them no less special than having av-21 sure its neat but its not all that special and unique.

Doctors and Entertainers can redister themselves on the city map. So you can find them. I agree that it is better to have bigger cities than a lot of smaller ones. But that is why the devs capped the number of player cities too and teh number of levels on each planet,

How does having a Player City--a community of players living and playing in the same space--take away from the community aspect of the game? Player Cities are communities.
And Player Cities are expensive. Sales tax is broken (money goes to the merchant and not to the city) and the only money that can be automatically funded to the city is an income tax with a 2k credit per week limit, travel and garage fees (which are also limited, both by the mechanics and by reality)and a percentage tax on stuctures. For larger cities, the difference between automatically generated income and city maintenance is a huge gap. Right now PCs have to rely mostly on donations because the tools aren't in place for them to support themselves.
Trainers cost the city money, it's only right that they should give something back. Mission terminals in the city should work like factional HQs where a portion of the payout goes to the upkeep.

I agree with Khristen here. Player cities is what makes the game better. More diversity. I think the number of cities each planet is good. The only thing I can think of to change, well there are several. Change the distnace between cities to a large number. 1000m is close. shhould be like 2k or 2.5k from each other.
