If anyone has played Battle for Middle Earth, your'll get what I mean.
Would it not be good if player city structures like cantina, medical centres, town halls, cloning facilities, shuttleports and the rest evolved over time with frequent use.
The more it gets used the bigger it gets til it becomes the sort of size and structure of one of the really big ones in the non player cities.
It would definatly be hard to implement but worth while in the long run, especially for mayors as they would actualy be able to see the city evolve.
What do you think?

This is a really really good idea. It wouldnt be all that hard.
It would require 3 or 4 models for each building. The buildings for instance could grow upwards instead of wider. Like a hospital gaining an extra floor with each city level, they wouldnt have to change the floor layouts simply how the model looked.

What aboot where you have houses around the structures, wouldn't it eventually grow big enough to clip through the house?
That'd smell.

I dont see how, if the models just grew upwards instead of actually being wider.
Growing models would dominate the player city skyline, and that is the effect that I think were after.
So what Im saying is the hospital for instance would have the exact same footprint, but would be taller.

An excellent idea. A way to draw people to your city is to have something different than the norm.
