Thread: Mind Healing in Cantinas/Hotels

It's been a while since I'd really kept up on SWG (kept things running, barely, until JTL), so I'd like to know if Cantinas/Hotels act like Med Centres when it comes to slow healing? For the Battle Fatigue, that is. I know that Med Centres allow the players to sit backand heal the HAM bars, which comes in handy, esp. when there's no healer in the house when you are online. It's becoming rather difficult to find an available BF healer, with all the empty/quiet/desolate PC and NPC cities.

When I checked out the Auction Chat on Corellia in the Scylla server, there was only one person who was at least advertising Mind Buffs, potentially a good place to get some BF healing while giving a tip. But it was 4k just to get in the darn place! Having Cantinas in NPC cities that gives at least a slow heal of BF would be a great thing. Nothing too fast to make player Entertainers/Muscians/Dancers irrelavant, but something that would make not having a player who happens to be a Ent/Mus/Dancer and online who happens to be your best friend a lot less painful

As for the slow healing, the reason entertainers aren't in remote cantinas are several:

1. Lack of customers

a. This means for the entertainer in training, no EH exp...

b. For a master... not conversation, patrons to buff etc.

2. Lack of fellow entertainers - Most entertainers enjoy the company of each other... solo acts

aren't that fun...

3. Not performing in public cantinas - Many veteran entertainers have ceased to perform in public

due to a decline in what the cantina atmosphere once was...

Thank you brawler

It sure would be nice if they included a slow BF heal in Cantinas in NPC/Static cities, that would be of help for keeping them more active.

When Darkfire (a PC city that was one of the best on one of the servers) was in it's heyday, there was at least one entertainer type dancing or playing in the cantina there. It may have been for grinding, but it sure came in handy. At the time, they were figuring out how to let residents use it for free, while charging the non-residents. But I'd hate to join up with a city just for free heals (I always tip, though thetips expectedprobably skyrocketed.... )

It would be cool if they could make 'holorecording chips' that could be record performances by the entertainers, and that could be sold to other players. These recordings wouldn't be as good as the live performance (to keep people coming to the entertainers, so they wouldn't feel out of the loop:robotsad, and can only be played a limited number of times (to encourage players to come back to the entertainers for more recordings. It'd be a cool to actually watch holoversions of entertainers, with the transluscent monochromatic appearance (Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic had these, though they were premade/static).

Just being in a cantina does auto-heal BF, but the how long it takes seems to be very erratic. It doesn't appear to be every 10 minutes like in a hospital.

Mesca Phost - Scylla - Rifleman/Ranger/Pilot
Crem Darkstrider - Wanderhome - Smuggler/TK/Brawler/Pilot
Mesca' Phost - Bria - Grand Master Entertainer
(Master Ent/Music/Dance/ID)

Cancelled 7/27/05 - I joined to play Star Wars, not Jedi-BH Wars. You've ignored/gutted/abused just about every other profession in the game, while spending most of your time working on Jedi and BH as they related to Jedi. You've basically killed the game for anyone who doesn't want the glowstick. Congratulations.
