Hi everybody! biwan:

So, whats up with SOE? I know that there have been added more ppl to work with SWG, but still. Consepts, patchs and testings have been rolling inn like crazy! I bearly manage to keep up... And prove me wrong, but SOE are starting to get desperat to keep players on SWG. The game starts to get patheticly easy. NoAPP XPfor master, redused wait time for entertainer buffs, 1min for travel (you could as well let itbe instant like on Theed),etc.... Sure, thats nice.. But come on! There have to be a limit! And there are so many "In Consept" that its just ******.... Sure, it sounds cool... But why try to fix something that is not broken???

EDIT: And whats with all the time cut, realy!?

And moderators, please dont delete this post just couse its the trus!

So many people posted that SOE was not listening to them and their wants. Now they are and you are complaning about it. I guess they just can't win no matter what they try to do. I for one am thrilled with all the changes. Especially the no app exp change. I'm a casual gamer. I play when I can. And I haven't been able to master two skills because I am never on at times when lots are and I can never find anyone to teach. I think the changes are great and I can't wait for them.

eh?, so they are finally fixing the game... how is that a bad thing? and YES it IS broken. removing time sinks really is a good thing, hopefully they will add some content that u can spend ur time on instead of waiting for a bloody shuttle. adding to krayt spawns makes hunting fun instead of walking around for hours finding nothing. reducing entertainer buff times so u dont have to be online 1 hour before u fight just to get thebuffs needed.

I think you're confusing easy with accessible and fun. I've been with the game since launch, with a few months off here and there, and I just mastered my first profession last night. Last night! Why? Because I don't have the time to stand around spamming at starports for people to train. Plus, that's not my idea of fun. Neither is standing around waiting for a transport or a buff. The reason I left the game in the past was because it was to much like real life - you had to work and wait. I do enough of that during the day. When I log in, I want to have a good time and DO something.

I think the changes are going to be the best thing that has ever happend to the game. As one guy put it in another thread, it's like they're shutting down the SWG beta and finally releaseing version 1.0.

One of the biggest complaints was too much downtime and standing around doing nothing waiting for stuff like buffs and shuttles. Those things are all boring time sinks, something that isnt necessary and something 99% of us are glad to have shortened.

May I ask, was it fun to miss your shuttle as a group leader while in Theed trying to recruit a hunting group? Thus your group was delayed. Everyone would have had to wait another 5 mins to go out.

JTL allows us to instantly travel thus eliminating that...if someone's late, they can group across the galaxy...so ppl don't have to wait. We don't pay 15 dollars a month to sit around waiting for people. We pay 15 dollars to have fun.

Yes, theres a difference between accessiblity and fun...but not between a fast paced FUN game and a slow paced BORING game. With the coming CURB and GCW, the game will be complex enough. With the new removals of time sinks, the dev's are helping to create a better game that IS accessible to the casual gamer, and cuts down on boredom time...so theres no confusion of the two. They're not dumbing the game down by reducing travel times from 5 minutes to 1 minute...hell, thats not dumbing the game down at all.

Imagine if a part of Halo 2 had a 5 minute "downtime" you had to sit and do nothing except mumble to yourself as a door slowly opened. That would suck....but if bungie changed that and made the door open in 30 seconds, and allow a player to get to the squad of convenant slime to smite...thats fun! Same thing applies to SWG.

Now...if they made Combat like: Only 1 special per profession, 2 guns in the game...no counters or state attacks and defenses...then yes, the devs would be dumbing the game down to a Barney-esque level. Removal of the uneeded time sinks lets us actually play....

Psychologically speaking, constant "fun" would be boring. With down time between each Awesome Event (sic), though, these things become more interesting, even if the content itself hasn't changed.

As for the original poster, I hope this person gets banned from the forums, or at least severely admonished by a moderator. We don't need this kind of inane drivel clogging the specialty forums.

Good one Well, I think my grammar arent all that bad, with thoughts that I am a non english speaking.

About my post it self:

Well, you guys have come up with alot of good points. And I agree with most of them. But the one that posted that SWG was too much like reallife, well.. I can't see that as a bad thing. I think that if the game makes that impression, its a sucsessfull MMORPG. If you just want to go and kill things, and go all crazy, you should try one of the other games. One of the things I liked the most in SWG is that it was so real, so challenging (and time consuming )

But sure, go kill things like crazy is cool as well...
