But one of the houses are "buff bot coming soon"....the first week of the game nobody had "buff bots", or hardly knew what buffs were for that matter. Hows that work? Unless the owner still plays the game....
Yeah I wonder if they could sell/ pass ownership on. That would be so sweet if my wookie could have his home next to the Ewoks haha

Yes, there are - I own one of them on SS. 
There used to be tons of them, but I believe there are only three left.
The structures on Endor and Dath surprise me, because I believed that the structures on those planets were actually destroyed when the change happened. The build-radius on the Dant Imp outpost was changed at a different time than the secondary planets were made totally unbuildable (as you can still build on Dant, just not near the Outpost).
In any case, grandfathered properties can indeed be transfered to other players. I have had to do it once or twice for various reasons in the last year.
I've had many offers (in the 10's of millions) but I have no desire to sell - I truly believe it's one of the few "rare" things in the game. Plus, after JTL, it's real awful nice having a Starport so close to my house.
