Introduction:
A Tavern in Star Wars Galaxiesis used for small cities to gain from space to have both cantina and medical center positions. We can see Taverns inside small NPC towns only where area is small.
A Tavern acts as a medical centers and cantina. Slower Healing Process than Medical Center however power is same.
Who can place a Tavern:
a Master Dancer / Master Entertainer / Master Musician AND Master Medic template players (eg. Dancer and Master Medic at same time)
a Tavern can only be placed in Level 1 and Level 2 cities. Level 3 cities need seperate Medical Center and Cantinas
Examples of Taverns already in game:
Tavern buildings are simplier than medical centers and cantinas since their purpose to hold both. We actually see them in several outposts in remote planets and some in Tatooine like 'Toschee Station' and 'Anchorhead Tavern' , 'Wayfar Tavern' ..

Not bad idea but if you have something like that then cantinas and medical centers for cities are useless

I can understand how you're trying to maintain the functionality of the cantina and the med centre by not having Taverns placeable in Lvl 3 or above cities, but what would happen to cities that have a tavern and then evolve to lvl 3. This would effectively make med centres and cantinas useless as not many people sit in them to heal themselves using the passive healing skill of the building.

((I think this is an absolutely great idea. I made some thoughts - hope they add to the proposal. Feedback would be nice, but 5 stars for you
))
Introduction:
Historically, a Tavern was place for weary travellers to get some much needed rest in remote areas and along major trade and travel routes. Often, the tavern would be the first building in what would eventually become a town, as other businesses and settlers gathered around these hubs of activity, often in strategic locations.
As settlements grew, the functions of the tavern became more specialised, and cantinas, medical centers, hotels, hostlers (vehicle garages and creature stabling/vets)and resturants overtook them.
A Tavern in Star Wars Galaxiesis used for "small cities" and smaller settlementsto gain from space to have essential services centralised into one building. Currently in the game, we can see Taverns inside small NPC towns only where the zoning area is small.
A Tavern acts as a limited medical center, cantina, hotel, vehicle garage and creature housing.
- Medical Center: The tavern has upstairs rooms available for travellers to stay the night or as long as they need. They act as medical centers in that a medic present in the room can heal any other players in the room. Also, a player who remains "in bed" (sitting on the bed) will heal at an extemely slow rate (bed rest) regardless of whether a medic is present or not.
- Cantina: All cantina services are present
- Vehicle Garage: All vehicle garage services are present
- Hotel: While I'm not sure what a hotel does, this structure acts as a hotel and from what I've seen, is more a hotel by definition
- Creature Housing: A creature (pet) which is kept in a pen at the tavern will benefit in the same way as the medical center in the tavern, but with Creature Handlers substituted for Medics
Who can place a Tavern:
AMaster Dancer / Master Entertainer / Master Musician,Master Medic,Master Creature Handler,Master Chef, Master Vehicle Engineer(?)template players. If the player who operates the tavern drops these skill ranks, the Tavern is demolished. (ie: A Master must be present for the Tavern to attract customers. This forces people to stay at a trade for longer, and means taverns are more likely to be set up by devoted tradespeople rather than those who jump from profession to profession in the constant grind for cash, loot, xp and badges.
ATavern can only be placed in Level 1 and Level 2 cities. Level 3 cities need seperate Medical Center and Cantinas. Edit: When a city reaches level three, the Tavern automatically evolves to a Cantina (so they require the same rough area footprint) and seperate Medical, Vehicle etc structures will be required to be built. At this point most cities will likely have dedicated structures along these lines.
A Tavern is unique in that it can also be placed as a standalone structure outside of a city. It acts as an anchor for other structures also - the area immediately around the Tavern can be built on as well, and when the minimum requirement for a Level 1 city (or the smallest type of settlement), the town is automatically created with the Tavern owner as the mayor. From then on, all normal rules apply, and a town hall will obviously need to be built (the citizens demand it).

Just a thought. Why not make it something that a Master Chef can place. Because, when I think of taverns I also think of food and beer. Maybe a tavern could grant a little bonus to chef crafting or maybe not. Maybe allow a small spot in the corner for a dancer or musician to entertain. Give it a low roof and make it dimly lit inside....*shrug......I dunno, just off the top of my head.

Existing Taverns can still be in evolved cities however, will decrease their medical functionality rating to50% thus forcing to tear it up and get medical center and cantina for those cities..

I dunno... Doctors, Musicians and Dancers can already place a structure, and we already have cantinas and medical centers. I think it would just be better to get some completely new structures (casinos, museums, ect.) to other professions (Smugglers, Rifleman, Bounty Hunters, Architects, ect.) to make them have more to do in a city.
Really, I don't want to see cities with a cantina, medical center and a tavern... it just takes away the whole point. I already think it looks stupid to see cities with two or more cantinas in them...

i dont really like the idea because taverns are pretty much the same thing as a med center and cantina. Instead, they should make other profs be able to place new structures like casinos and museums, and hotels, and where those already exist... make them actually have a point in swg like if u wanted to rent a room in a, just go in and there would be a hotel manager npc. you could pick how long you wanted to keep the room and once your time is up u would get a message saying "warning your hotel rented room time is about to expire, you have 30min left..." also you could keep up to 20 items in your hotel.
as for casinos make more types of games and make them placable by master smugglers
Museums should be made placable by master politicians and when u enter the building you would pay x amount of credits much like a merchant can do.

I thought I had an interesting idea awhile ago where, to place museums, you had to get all the exploration badges then do a special quest or two. After that you were able to place one museum in a city. You'd also get a special "curator" badge.
I've been trying to develop the idea furthur and get it more detailed, then submit it again.
