What do you guys think of this, a imp guild is trying to do this on Ahazi, is this rp an imp or griefing.

Im not up with this plan, im a rebel afteral so, i think it is a way to destroy a city which someone has built up after many months of hard work.

Personally, I think this stinks and it is pure griefing... something that my city saw happening with the new changes to city politics...

the changes were good, but easily lead to this sort of griefing and the mayors and citizens of towns really need some sort ofassurance from theDEVsand CSRs that if someone pulls this sort of crap that they will be able to get their town back.

Kaairn Targ- CL90 jedi
Jaree L'Even - Entertainer .
Kara Zor-El - Trader, praying for the miricle failed, still stuck as the arbitrary two professions the devs decided to lump together.

I supported keeping & balancing the Pre-CU combat system. Shame SOE decided not to listen.

it s not griefing and no harrasment

i m serious

long time ago i had talks to several crs s+ supervisor about the bugged city cap on our world.

After they told me that it s not possible to fix it i wanted to know about what else to do

so we came to the subject of destroying other player cities to make room for our own.

i wanted to know if it s griefing or even a bannable offense

3 crs s stated it is a legal tactic to take over the mayorship of another city and to destroy it!

as bad it is, it s no griefing, it s politics

if you let people move in to your city you are risking to loose influence over your city and might get outvoted or even destroyed, and with the new election system its much easier now to do so.

Two of the biggest misconceptions about player cities arethat the city belongs to anyone in particular, and/or that the founders of the city somehow have more right to it than others that may have come later. The city belongs to whomever does what is neccessary to take control and keep control of the city. It is painfully simple to keep a handle on zoning (I've done it for over a year), you keep your militia to a small trusted group(or don't have one), and immediately revoke zoning rights once any new citizens have placed their houses (either that or place the house yourself and transfer it to the new citizen). So if anyone allows the takeovertactic to succeed, it's because they'reignorant, inept, lazy, or simply don't care anymore.

Hmm... Tough call. THis sucks for the town involved, but from what I can tell it DOES seem to be an RP issue. I mean, they aren't saying "I don't like the mayor so let's trash their town," or are even worried aboutcity competition. They have a plan that follows Imperial ideologies and are attempting to execute this plan. Also, (and I know this won't be popular with my fellow mayors out there) I think that any city that is faction-specific sort of deserves this sort of behavior. That's war, after all.
