Ever since player cities have come out, they havent recieved any love. However there are lots of different things taht can be done to improve the look and feel of player cities which are the heart of this game in many ways.

-streets.

Already a post on this and its pretty simple to understand

-Public lots

Why should individual people have to use up their own lots for all the different city structures such as cantina, hostpital, garage, city hall, pa halls. Cities should have the ability to support these types of public buildings where the lots do not take up any space in any individuals lots. The city would have to be certain sizes to have this ability, and also I feel matiance for the city would have to be increased, but it would tremendously help cities in several ways.

-Warehouses

Everyone needs space, create public warehouses that can be placed in metropolis cities. These warehouses would be small buildings with large amounts of storage. A city could loan out the building (only the person paying matiance would have ability to access the small house) and keep the money for matiance. The player would essentially rent out the small warehouse for a month, at the end of this time the player would be given a week to either take out his items, and if nothing was done by then, the mayor could be given access to take the items away from the house and return them to the proper own once the person renting the space got back. (Im sure there could be another better way to do this as well)This would allow player cities to perform a more sueful role, and really help everyone with thier storage problems that we all have. It would even take more money out of the game and put it into supporting player cities!

-new special improvements

Have new decorations that really create a city atmosphere, possibly signs, or more statues, or the the theed arches, or anything.

-NPCs

Generate some npcs walking around, maybe even a few quests or missions based on a city size and location.

Im sure many others can come up with more ideas as well, but these were just a few I have been thinking of for awhile. As something desperately needs to be done to improve player cities and create a new atmosphere in belonging to cities and city usefullness!

City halls only take one or two lots. Garages, cloning facilities, banks and the like don't take any lots. Cantinas, medical centers and theaters do because they're privately owned, the others are owned by the city itself. And PA halls are not city structures.

I agree with more statues, fountains and things like that. It would be really nice to have some more decorations for the city. In on of the cities one Corellia there's a by gyser coming out of the ground (a natural object that the city was built around). I always thought it would be cool if we could place things like that in our city.
Along with signs, plants and trees, things like that.
I'd also like to be able to place "junk"... like being able to place a landspeeder (created by a Master Artisan) somewhere, maybe a droid body in another place, a B-Wing on top of a building, ect.

NPCs are something I've always wanted for player cities. It would really help them to look more "alive". It would be great if the city mayor could set what type of NPCs that want walking around... as in species, faction, ect. The city I'm a mayor of is an all-Twi'lek city, so if we could have Twi'lek NPCs walking around, it would be awsome.

How about some walls so people don't have to block off places w/ street lamps or houses?

Actually City Halls take no lots. Only thing that do take lots are theaters, cantinas, and med centers. I think those takes 4 lots. As for guild halls, those take 7 lots. However, I heard that the guild hall lots will be lowered from 7 to 5 and the storage count will increase. Also multiplayer ships will take no lots.

Personally, I think the changes being made to structures and item counts are more than enough. With this change, if you have 5 small or medium houses, then you will hvae 1000 items, plus 80 in the inventory, plus 50 with backpacks, plus more if you have a city hall, ships, vendors, or storage droids. That's 1130 items without a city hall, storage droid or ship. I think that's MORE than enough for any one character to have. Oh and I just remember you can store more in the bank, so that brings it to over 1200. If you need more room because you have more than 1200 items, then maybe you should start deleting some stuff. I have three characters. Two are crafters. I have one large house and one medium house and everything that my characters need can be contained inthose two houses(minus their inventories). This is why there is lag. Too many people have too many items. People need to stop being packrats and start deleting things if you need more room and have more than 1200 items.
