When logging of a player should have to go to a building that would in real life accommodate sleep quarters. For instance a hotel, motel, friends house, your own house, or even a camp (in the case of a scout(and the camp would still be there when you log on next)).
If you log off at a hotel, or motel etc. you would have to pay a fee before checking out, this would mean checking in as well so you can stay there and log off.

It would make it more real, but this would cause you to have to travel to a major city if you were in a hurry and cause more hassel.

A camp would be sufficient. I think all people should be given the basic ability to throw down just a basic tent. I like how WoW does it, if you log in a tavern you get bonus XP when you head back out. Your toon "rests", its intresting.

Defintely be a more fun experiance than the way it is, and it would bring players of all types together at times when waking up, checking out, and retrieving your stuff from the lobby the following morning..

Actually, if I remember correctly, at one time, hotels were supposed to allow you to log off faster avoiding the 30 second wait. I am not sure if this was removed or never implemented... or I am misinformed.

Yes I agree but you would also be able to log off in player citys as well, in there hotels etc, which would generate income for the player cities.
