I don't know if this has been posted before, but here are my ideas....

Since everyone has been asking/yelling/burrning effigys for the Devs to make floorplans customizable, why not start with a smaller, slightly easier request- paint and texture kits for houses. An architect would craft either a paint kit or a texture kit, and they WOULD have a decay, much like candles do- only these last for maybe a month. This would give archies more revenue, seeing as how most people have a house and a harvester.

Paint kits:

Each type of house (naboo, tat, generic) would have a certain palette to choose from. While they would have the same basic colors attributed to that planet (i.e. tat would gain faded colors, more brown/rustic in color), some of the same colors would be available. Such as how a Naboo house might gain a royal blue coloring, a Tat house would gain a dusty blue, and a generic would get a sky blue.

There is a primary and secondary coloring, just as every other paintable item in the game.

Texture Kits:

There are two types of texture kits: ground and walls. The ceiling would gain the primary coloring of the walls.....although the Devs might be able to give archies a special paint kit for the ceiling of say the Naboo medium house, whihc would be a mural (think cathedrals, lol)

Also, the textures could range from regular plain, one-colored walls to tiling to even sophisticated wallpapers.

While all of these things would not be quick to be added, the coding to texture and paint things is already in game. So the Devs could release this a few months before maybe adding customizable floorplans, just to calm some people down, lol. Just some thoughts, feel free to flame or praise...

I've thought of being able to place wallpaper/flooring before, but never got many interested. But I still think it wuold be a great idea.

I hate seeing every house of a certain style looking the same. And I hate seeing the same walls and floors in every room. I'd like to have some variety in my house.

That would be a great idea and you wouldn't think it would be any more difficult to set up than any of the other kits. It is just a matter of creating the graphics in multiple colors.
