why is it, that in any give house. There seems to a "force field" that keeps you from placing a picture, or peice of furniture, flush to a wall?
Take my Tatooine guild hall for one... some walls pictures hang great, furniture lines up just right... other walls... there is a field that limits the distance... end result is, you have a picture hung on a wall with enough space behind it for an AT-ST to pass threw.... just looks plain ugly.
Is there anyway to have this graphics error adjusted??

Seems to happen mostly in Tat-stylehouses due to the way the wall and floor join together in a curve, rather than a hard line. You'll notice the 'wall' starts where the curve starts, leaving that gap. Other houses don't have this space so you can move posters directly against the wall. Some walls are worse as they are completely curved rather than being straight with just that curved joint at the bottom.

Nope, happens with generic planetary houses as well. In fact, there are some walls that you can put items flush to and other walls that you can't.

You think that they could adjust some numbers in the code, so that this wouldn't happen

if it's the same thing as i think it is, these are called 'noclip brushes' i.e. a section of wall that looks invisible, but is really a wall with no texture on it and therefore you can't walk through it or place objects in it. typically i think it is there so that players can't get stuck on a section of oddly-shaped walls (like the arches in tat structure walls) or in some cases, walk through a wall (bug).

I've been having this problem with my merchant tents,
For some reason my Tatooine Flag doesn't position flush to the wall, whereas poster and paintings do... Does the flag count as a different type of item than a poster/painting?

it's really simple, items that you can't sink into the ground actually have non-visable extentions.
the banners that you place on the ground have a stand that extends beneath them, which is why you can't put a banner flush with the floor.
There is a drink "Spiced Tea" I believe that sits about a foot or 2 off the ground and can't go any lower.
This is all basically Artists not triming up their Art for the game world.
