I love the fact that the devs raised the item limits on so many structures and even reduced the lot requirements of some structures. But,...
...is there an easy way to determine the item limit of a structure. For example, I can go my house's maintenance terminal and determine how many items it currently contains. However, is there a way to determine the limit without filling the house? If not, I'd love the devs to add this to the status screen.

Basic rule of thumb now is 100 items per 1 lot used with an item cap of 400 max.

Hmmm...that's a good rule of thumb, but what about city structures, such as hospitals and cantinas (I actually heard that hospitals can now hold 300 items, but I don't think they take up 3 lots, do they?) and multi-player ships (they take up no lots, but I heard they hold 90 items).
It would be easier for everyone if we had two simple things ingame:
- A deed fora structure indicated the number of items it can hold.
- The status dialog (accessible from the maintenance terminal) indicated the number of item the structure can hold.

I know Hospitals are 3 lots and hold 300. Just double checked the Politician forum for that one. I think the cantina is also 3 lots/300 items but I haven't had a chance to verify. The passenger ships I know had the lot use removed, not sure about their capacity, haven't checked.
Your right on what would make this easier. Just not enough in game documentation for us to check. It's all through external sources and experimentation.

As of Wednesday night, cantinas were 5 lots and (I believe) 250 items. I'm positive about the lots, though, as my wife took over the town cantina Wednesday night. She hasn't been on since the update, though, so it's always possible that it's dropped down to 3 with that.

Cantinas are 5 lots 400 items.
But yes it would be nice if it said number of items and the total number (i.e. 176/200).
