What are some of the best spots for a city in the galaxy?

I am looking for a place to put down a city but we can't find a place thats nice and flat thats not already taken up. Are there any places regardless of planet that you know of that I can check out.

Thanks

Ah ok, thanks. Also how many cities are allowed on each planet? Just want to make sure we even CAN place a city.

tat is flat around bestine ... but that spot is almost always taken up ...

naboo has several nice flat areas .. or places with rolling hills ... same with dant (dant doesnt have a large flat spot but in some corners .. it has gradual hills) ... talus and rori are both decent as well in certain spots ...

heh well the poi comment i will agree with ... on bloodfin one of the most active (people coming and going from shuttleport, using cloner, garage etc .. shopping ) cities is next to the krayt graveyard ... yes there are other pc cities that give some activity from time to time ... but there has never been a time i have been in that city and not seen at least 7 to 10 others in the city (not citizens .. but other players in general) ... and it is common to see over 20 in the city ...

Having a POI in or near your city will be a big draw for prospective citizens and business owners as it draws more player traffic to your city.

On Starsider I know of one city on Talus that has the Chunker Bunker inside it's city limit which draws a number of players. Vagabonds Rest, the city I live in has a small Assassin spawn that while not a draw in itself has certainly helped us do a little light RP from time to time.

If you go about 3k east of the MO on dant you will hit a major river that runs north and south. If you follow it in both directions there are several nice places on both sides of the river that could accomidate all city sizes. Also if you perfer orange grass head south of the Imp Outpost also on dant. There are some nice places there too.

Forget a city on corillia it will never happen.

Ive never scouted rori or talus but as others have said there are places that work.

Tat is almost all roleing to flat sw of bestine especialy.

Naboo anywhere north of the cliff line (look on the map), east of keren and between keren and theed is flat and or roleing.

Endor, Yavin, and Dath are no-build as im sure you know.

Lok is almost all flat in the middle, there are also some intresting unmarkedPOIs is you scout around.

I myself have been apart of three city plants, and have scouted/helped scout good posisions for over 40

If you need any help or pointers feel free to give me a tell in game (/tell naritus.tolk) , ill come to your server and give you a hand.

I agree with the POI comment, if you can find a draw, the krate grave yard, fort tusken, any dungon specialy the bigger ones, you will have alot more traffic.

As for how many per planet, last i heard it was 10 on starter planets (naboo, corillia, and tatooine) and 50 on adventure (rori, talus, lok, and dant) There are other caps as well such as how many Level 4 and above player citys per planet.I think that cap is half of the planet cap though im not certian. Any and all these numbers may have changed however.

Rori is a lovely planet and you can put a ton of cities on it. There are some flat areas especially in the south part. I have seen some lovely cities built on several different levels of land. Long as you can put down the city hall on one level, go for it, then build the rest where you can. Flat cities are boring. Visit our city on Lowca. Just go to the Rebel Outpost on Rori and walk a hundred meters to the start of the city...Some players have built their homes on the hillside or across the lakes and rivers.

We left the city center in front of city hall as a parklands. Just visit my link below for some screenshots....visit the tourism and screenshots pages.

Gloria, Lowca: Wanderhome & Test Center
9 accounts, 18 characters, ok this is a tad nutso
Lowca, LIBERTYLAND PARK on Rori, our fun city geared to role playing fun
take the shuttle, racetrack, Wildlife museum, Romance Inn, pub, cafe,
Droid Factory, Whacky Hospital...much more
Come visit, bring friends and roleplay. Pull up your overhead map, each vendor marks a site for adventure and fun.

I started a city on Talus

1) Good amount of flat land

2) Very few cities so it's easy to find untaken land.

3) It's bright unlike say Rori

4) It's one hop away from Corellia which is important for people without JTL

5) The purple night skys are nice

Just my opinion.
