Been thinking alot about how difficult it is to renovate a city. It can be a real chore for city planners to move buildings with peoples varied time schedules and all those players that have left the game months ago.
I got to thinking.. wouldnt it be nice if designated city planners could simply force a house within city limits to be packed up into the owners datapad?
Here is the 2 skills I was thinking of along this line;
- CityWarn (rename it to "Requisition")
- This forces a house to be packed up into the owners datapad
- This allows the planner to designate an authorized "replanting" spotfor the owner of the targeted building
- When the owner logs on, and wishes to replant their building, they have the following options;
- They can place the building in the area designated by the planner. Thisspot will show up flashing green. If they do so, they will not have to seek a grant for zoning rights. This option also depends on if the spot has not already been taken by someone else.
- They can seek a grant to zone in another area of the city.
- They can take the house to another spot/city
- Players that have had thier houses "requisitioned" will keep their citizenship status with the city while the house is packed. Players will loose citizenship if the house isunpacked outside the city limits. This keeps cities stable in terms of population and allows for easy beutification of cities.
- Eviction
- This forces a players building into their datapad and removes their citizenship.

- CityBan
- This works like it currently does, banning visitors from all of the cities municipal services.
Hope yall like these ideas.

The only real issue I see with this is that many mayors of those horrible ghost towns that are causing a real issue would simply pack-up and not evict the citizens who have left the game and therefor keep their large city statuses without the large active players keeping it there. Which is bad, for people who newish active cities.

This happens now anyway, and this suggestion was not intended to address this. This is a completely seperate issue to the ones fixed by the recommendations above. I have an alternative solution to the new city population issues you mention, but thats for another thread.

these are just question/issues that I'm not sure if your plan deals with.
Citywarn - what if there is no room on the datapad . . . i.e its full?
