Thread: Question about Structure Maint turn off

My friend is trying to decide if he needs to put someone on admin or can be secure knowing he is okay for a while.
Once again - please respond if you have confirmed any of these.

The STRUCTURES should be maintenance free, but CITY MAINTENANCE is NOT.
This does not include Player City Maintenance costs. City Maintenance costs are still in effect, but the buildings themselves are exempt.

doesnt matter...they wouldnt go poof anyway and if you are gone for a year they would still be there smoking away even if you had no creds left...

Brilliant... because no structure maintenance means no property tax income. Since sales taxes are borked, this will really hit player cities.
QFE on this and the eirlier post on smoking harvesters condemned by the emperor months ago.
I feel that factories and housing should remain standing while a player takes some time off due to the possible expensive items inside. However, there are a number of small, medium and largeharvesters near my house (Mos Eisley) and in MANY places I would like to mine that have been on fire for at least 4-6months.
These are very obviously from a static lot swap not maintained or someone that didnt get past their free month trial and only dropped a few personal extractors to play with. If the harvester is smoking then it is NOT an active character who has credits in the bank (or maitenance would be automatically deducted).
Is there a way to 'fix' this without removing the auto payed maitenance? Perhaps if a harvester is not visited within say three to four weeks AFTER email messages are sent to the user. Once the hurricane crisis is over of course.
Even then these smoking harvesters are different to ones which were placed by accounts which still have credits in the bank...
This may even half the load time of Bria to below two hours ![]()
When are condemmed structures going to poof, there are way to many right now, cant you use the House pick up fuction and just put them in the players data pad? How about just getting ride of the Factories and harvesters. ![]()
