i have been the mayor of a town for 2 terms now....the town i am mayor in is a guild based community...most of the active guildies have left due to a bug..which made our guild leader "Null%T.O."...none the less, i wish to resign from office, but there are no other candidates that will run against me, due to the fact they are not on anymore.....

How do i get out of this....because i would like to set up a new town hall on another planet...and it won't let me do so...because im a mayor of another town...

HELP!!!!PLEASE!!!

Uhm - if no one is interested in keeping that town you are the mayor of right now alive then take the city hall down and start over on a different planet?

Removing the City Hall doesn't immediately resign you from the office of Mayor for the city. Though you'll receive confirmation that the city hall has been destroyed, it won't disappear straight away.

Having just done this some 20 minutes ago, I can only assume that in the best case I have to wait til the server is next reset, or worst case I have to wait until thecurrent 3 week mayoral cycle is complete.

Another darn bug.

See..this is why I never went into politics

A possible solution: put in a "resign from office" option...it would then send out a message to all town members lettign them know the office is about to be vacated...put a one week timer on it and if no one steps up to bat then the town disbands....

A Mayor on Wanderhome is trying to sell the whole city on the trade forum, with the minimum bid being the current treasury balance. Something like that might work.

I've seen a number of attempts to do that on Kettemoor. I'm not sure if any of them have been successful.
