could anyone help me out? i have placed three factories for one of my guildies because i have zoning rights and he does not. is there a way to transfer the ownership of these factories without picking them up and trading? i have seen it done with houses before, but not a factory

Move close to the factory to be transferred, target the player you want to transfer to and type /transferstructure.

yes, you can.
make sure they have enough lots to hold it.
you need to stand on the factory footprint (just get real close to the factory), target your friend and type /transferstructure

You can also stand next to your structure, target the structure terminal or factory/harvie then type /transferstructure <player name>.
