What is the point of having yatchs?!You can bring friends on them and maybe RP a little but thats about it. Wouldn't it be great if there were space merchants. People being able to dock with multi-passenger ships and boarding another ship. This would a great to attract crafters into space. It would also make a better us of luxury yatchs.

That's an awesome idea! Even better, make Space Stations boardable, and let players rent out "Apartments".

dunno about the yacht idea......i mean, you would never know where the yacht would be, and therefore you could never give a waypoint to your shop.....


although the space station idea i think is amazing

Love the space station idea. When I first heard that their where going to be space stations before JTL came out I thought they would be boardable, but no.


Also what would be cool is if you could rent spots in static city buildings as offices, apartmentsand or shops, specificly the rooms that the devs never had time to furnish. I mean it's just wasted space why not make use og it. I think it would be a great RP tool.

Thatd be real nice to be able to dock with other player ships and trade. Maybe even have to introduce "nonattackable" ships for merchants. Have certain areas desginated as trading zones, where people could come and meet. Maybe even have a Large Station where players could dock. Then there can be a large circle of a station, where players can run around and stop in on docked ships to see whats available. Now to limit camping, since there needs to be limited space available on the station, have like a 3 hr max time limit. With a27 hr redocking time, up to 51 if real busy at the station. (3 hrs added to redock to account for docking).


Now if they eventually add capital ships. Have a Master Merchant/Master pilot certed capital frigate/trade ship. Which allows docking of ships, depending on models. Thatd be kinda fun.

Ever played Earth and Beyond?



Awesome space game, all shops were inside the space station. Walkaround and stuff, wascool! It got sold a month or two b4 JTL came about

Actually.... yes.


I was kinda dissapointed by it in some aspects. I land on the station and there wasnt a whole lot there in terms of exploring. It was mainly a space game. NOW if they took the size and scope of that and added in a land game (SWG) id be happy. It was cool though, i enjoyed it durin the 14 day trial, just not enough to want to buy it.

exactly. There are already target keys for ships. Why not have a merchant target key in space? Itd open up a whole new avenue of gameplay for crafters. Possibly though, space needs to be upgraded and become more lively. its nice to dream though.

I want to be able to play "laser tag" in space. Not kill each other, but more like Tag or touch football. Ship to ship. Across sectors. Planet hopping. Etc. "It" marked with a big blinking beacon. Make space less work and more fun.

You could always put some super cruddy weapons into the ship and power up some good shields. Your ship would be well protected but you'd still be able to know if you got 'tagged' Sectors and planet hopping would get tough though. Perhaps a /findfriend command
