but apparently it'll never happen.

why? i have no idea.

What would be a compromise in my mind is let players run for mayor in non-major cities like Deeja Peak and Kora Vella. These dusty towns hardly get any visitors and this would change that. I think it would fantasticthey also included the often asked for player apartments or rentable workshops/merchant tents in these cities.

Architects would not be all that happy, but to save that profession they could have a new schematic called "apartment floorplans" which would be applied to apartments (1 bedroom, 2 bedroom, etc).

I agree. It seems that the player base has recognized that the player city is in need of a complete revamp or to just ditch it. Mannn this is going to start an uproar if it happens.
