Thread: Petition to Devs to REMOVE CONDEMNED HOUSING
We have tons of house that have not been used in ages. People have houses when player cities were first made. so we need a big Clean.
Dear SOE, please make room in the game for your active players so we too can share the experience of making a player-run town in SWG come alive... it benefits us all
I played UO before coming to SWG. In UO when a player left the game and the account was closed for 3 months, at the end of the 3rd monthany housing on the account would go into house decay mode.. If I recall I believe the process took about a week from Slightly Worn to when it would -poof-. Once a house fell, any items in the house would fall to the ground and became lootable for any one lucky enough to pass by... House Camping was born.
Other games do it, it keeps placement lots available for active players who are still here... and takes stress off the servers. My guild is active with over 80 members... we live on Naboo and we worked hard to get our city up only to discover that we are not able to get a shuttle because the planet is at it's shuttle limit yet so many of the player cities are ghost towns. Thus we are stuck and can not even expand our town. I ask SOE to please address this issue.
I know the hurricane's might have put a temp hold on the statues of some inactive accounts, and I commend SOE on the support the players received during these disasters. The loss of your home irl andyour in game house... would be heartbreaking. So I can understand the difficulties this may present to SOE.
Could we atleast get a possible target date.. month of when this issue will be re-visited again...

Of course anything for three months could just be packed up into the players inventory - bonus!
No more crappo houses about and no more crappo harvesters etc about!

Any and all accounts that haven't been active for six months should be deleted and as such all items and property will go poof - bonus!

I could only wish that this would happen.
I think SOE actually hopes that the owners of all those necro accounts will come back to the game one day![]()
Only the owner can pay maintenance fees on a condemned building. CSRs cannot help you if you are not the owner.
