I seriously doubt you would be able to build a house on kashyyk of any kind. That place (probobly not in the game) has a dense forest of several kilometer tall trees, all the housing is up in the treetops because forest floor (The Shadowlands I belive its called) is too dangerous. The wookies hunt it but you wouldnt want to live down there, if you want to follow the canon reasoning. I think there have been only a couple of Jedi who lived on the forest floor of Kashyyk but thats it.

I like this idea a lot, but sadly I suspect that this new planet will not be inhabitable. It sounds like an awesome idea, it really does. 5 stars.

I've got to put my few cents in here. Ok, what if, instead of houses on the surface, or trees that you build with houses IN them, what if large areas of forest had the "ewok walkways" sorta thing to it, but containing large open areas of platform? Then, they could make it so the Wookie houses could only be built on top of them! By limiting the buildings to Wookie cities, then you could easily limit the lag they would have. And if you are worried about how overcrowded it would be, and lack of space,think about it... If the houses are all built on platforms anyway, then what's to stop you from building multiple layers of city? So, as long as you build them ONLY in pre-designated treetop areas, that are say, scattered around Kashyyyk, but not large enough to create huge lagproblems, then you could "isolate" the lag, while making it seem like a real wookievillage. This will encourage people to build houses together, and make it unlikely that there would bestranded Wookie houses in the middle of nowhere! This is more realistic, since humans (and wookies for that matter) probably won't be on the surface too long, and CERTAINLY wouldn't have the entranceof thier housesat the forest floor. But, I understand that, since they didn't already mention it, it probably won't happen, and that it's more likely to be an "adventure" planet, and that the dev's won't even TOUCH this idea, I'd like to say it, so that maybe, some far future update will let us see it happen... Cross our fingers for Update 45!!! WOOT!!!

I like the idea of Kashyyk being a adventure planet.Infact i hope there is only one star port on the hole planet and it is in the far far far north west corner of the map.And with it being a dense jungle getting to the SE part of the planet would be a big adventure.And possibly if it was 20,000 Meters from there to the far far far SE.Think about how fun that would be?!?!I also wouldnt mind there being a few wook's live on Kashyyyk.But i want NO cities,no shuttle ports or anything like that.Give the possbilty to form a small wook village possibly,and this would be far far up in the canopy so it shouldnt really effect ground level that much.Since i would imagine they both would be different area's and it shouldnt make lag worse.The far SE of the planet could be a escape from the empire and all for wooks.It could also be a pretty safe spot for Jedi.What im wondering is how we're going to drive on Kashyyyk?Yavin is hard enough to drive on,i cant even begin to imagine Kashyyyk.

Uh, you just discribed with about 95% accuracy the way a Wookiee Tree Village looks.

population cap and wookies only. i think it would be rather idiotic if wookies can live on their own planet. seems silly. oh well. probably never gonna happen anyway.

I hope they will be able to live on there own planet. I really think that an idea like this is possible and I hope it happens.

Homes on kayyshic would be awsom! but i agree that it would really take away the "Star Wars Feel" to have homes just littered around the planet. to prevent this, players should be able to only make homes that are kayyshic style, that branch off the city tree, and players should be only able to set up their homes with in the player city limmits. this would prevent players randomly covering the planet with their homes.

This would be very cool. I know a few wookiees that would love this as well. Wow if they did this with other species planets I would have to say that would be one of the coolest features of the game. Talk about a sweet bonus to not being human. 5* for you.
