Yeah, I'm tired of seeing shops built up near the Emperor's Retreat and stuff

The entire system needs to be overhauled, a huge task to be sure.

First, creature bases and lairs should not spawn in the yellow areas established by player structures.....There should be a separate system for cities and mobs, like perhaps a red field, so that mobs can still spawn around cities.....In other words, mob bases and lairs spawn in red zones but not yellow ones. That solves the mob base in house issue.

Next, POI's should have their own grid....Blue maybe....that allows building but causes your house to face damage or destruction by mobs spawning in the POI.....Now, it is my contention (and please correct me if I am wrong, just stating an opinion) that most houses around POI's are used as temporary hovels for shelter. Yes, I know that shops would be the exception.....I dont know what the solution would be in that case. Perhaps it needs more discussion.

At any rate, splitting the zones into three types instead of one would help.

Yellow = PC no-build zone. No mob bases or lairs allowed

Red = NPC city zone. No PC structures allowed, Mob bases allowed.

Blue = POI zone. All structures allowed, structures are subject to damage and destruction however.

Green = Remains as it is now.

If the houses were placed, legitimately, in areas that were available for building there's very little that can be done.

What would you suggest? Banning the player? House will stay there for as long as there's money in their bank

Deleting the house? I think we can both see the potential flaw in that one.

As a Ranger I get well and trully hacked off when I find patches of harvesters covering the good spawn areas, but short of making more No Build zones and preventing people ADDING houses to the existing problem, I reckon CS are stuck.

Nope. Heres exactly what should happen...

1. Development should re-evaluate the no build zones around certain areas.

2. The no build zone is increased to encompass the new areas, existing houses are not yet deleted. But no new houses can be placed.

3. In game emails are sent to owners of those houses stating that they have 1 month to move the house and its content to a currently legal plot or the house will be purged.

4. At the end of one month all houses remainig in the new no build area are condemed. No maintence may be paid, all others except owner are removed from admin, house is made private and no items may be dropped inside. Only removed. House remains like this for 2 more weeks as a last attempt to amicably get the house moved

5. After two weeks of condemed status house is purged. All items in side are lost, land plots are returned to player.

A little bit of work for alot of content saving. they have changed just about every other rule at some point, why not this? This way would people time to get thier crap together and get out. Hell devs could even offer compensation in the form of like <gasp> a new house model schematic (made by archi's lik me of course). Either way something really should be done about it.

BOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!

Think about what you are saying because simply put this really only effects two type of player the ones that feel they absolutely need the super powerful krayt tissues to fuel their already overfilled pocketbooks or the jedi that absolutely need pearls to make their lightsabers

one thing you should know is.................................Krayts spawn in other areas of Tatooine map................of course you wouldnt know this cause all you see is the krayt graveyard poi and yup thats the only place they would posibly spawn you must be one of those peeps that believe that the tuskans are only at the fort or you wont be able to fight squills unless you go to their cave

it this exact mentality that drives me bonkers...........get over it the mobs spawn in more than one area and if you didnt get to fight your critter where you wanted to maybe you should try looking around some

Actually I could care less about the krayts. I'm a master WS, Master archi, master artisan. Not like I'm going out to hunt krayts with my CDEF pistol there buddy. In fact i was speaking of a POIs in general. Like... the wonderful people who put down houses on the race track courses, the krayt GY, around various dungons etc on other planets. Not everything revolves around the Krayt GY. it is not the only POI in the game, and not the focus of the discussion. So next time think about what YOU are saying before you post. Some of us would like to experience certain parts of certain planets with out "So-And-So's r0xx0r haus o'luv nuttin' sitting smack at the entrance or in some cases the middle of the spot.

....or these POI's could be instanced.......

imo most of the dungeons and poi's would do far better if they were instanced (like the corvette)

less greed griefing, and would have more of a sense of reward.

Also i would say lvl's of difficulty would differ.

There is a compound not 200m from the Kraytyard' on Chimaera and a town not far away with faction bases that can be used to tank krayts.

Hey by any chance do you have a house in the krayt graveyard.....................

-I support a Galactic Civil War fought between regular, average players... Simply strict, hardlined Imperials & freedom lovin' Rebels fighting for control of the galaxy. A Galactic Civil War fought not with glowsticks or lightsabers, but with blasters, lances, and how much guts you have. A Galactic Civil War which reflects the timeline, the destruction of the Death Star, the absolute control which the Empire has and the brave Rebels trying to break up that reign... The extinction of all but a few rare and special Jedi. That my friends, is the Galactic Civil War and that is what we have to aim for.

This post kind of caught me by surprise. I visited the Karyt graveyard about 2 weeks ago and while there were 2 little towns nearby, I did not see a single structure around the POI. I am pretty sure you can't build anything withint a certain radius of POI. Those areas are not overly full with structures. After reading about the paucity of kary spawns I thought I was relatively safe visiting that area. Mark my surprise when I was chased down by a GINORMOUS ancient Karyt. In fact there were about 4 Karyts lounging around dangerously close to some vendors I wanted to visit (its a shame those critters have to be killed, they are truly a sight to behold).

Besides, I am pretty certain that structures do not interfere with creature spawns. I have seen a number of lairs spawn in some houses around Bestine so you could not clear them out. I have to clear out at least 1 kreetle lair lair next to my merchant tent almost daily. I really have not witnessed this problem you speak of.
