I'd love our player city to have some more pavements, decorations and walls!!
Should be done the same as with gardens etc.. Only the mayor can place em then.
And the idea of filling up space in front of a house with pavement is great!! That way we can create beautiful streets!

I think roads would definitely be hard on the server but perhaps paving an entire city so the only plants are gardens might be more feasible. It might be much easier to code in an entire cities radius as "paved" as opposed to individual roads. Paving should be an option however, not a default.
As for city walls I think that might be something to bring up in relation to the GCW revamp and player cities.

Someone probobly allready said this, as I didn't read all the replies but
WALLS are in the concept art & I believe they were in Beta, Granted they were "Base Walls" they were still walls and had working code to place them, Small, Medium & Large!

Unless it is only playable by mayors, I could see many problems with this. One of them being city griefing. Players can gain the trust of a mayor and guild/city to be allowed to place a house down and become part of the city. With this ability they can then lay down a wall around the city blocking everyone in or out.

I agree. It's not that difficult to switch the terrain in a city limit to a paved road as opposed to the grass texture. We already have it register when we enter an leave a city so the borders are set for a city naturally. I really wish they would do this because it would make our cities actually look like a civilized area as opposed to our cities looking like we through a bunch of homes up in a field.

They could always make it so the walls are like streetlights. They could be decorative only and be non-collidable
