You know what you need to do? Organize a posse and go take over HIS town. That'd show him. Since you cant vote in 2 places at once, he'd have to make a choice. His town, or yours. Just a thought.

Oddly enough I was asking this of the CSRs yesterday. Today they responded...

"The hostile acquisition of a player village or city by the mechanism you suggested would be considered griefing and SOE would be forced to take direct action on the players responsible and their accounts."

So there we have it. I did mention that, in fact, the voting terminal gives direct support to the action being considered in the first place. This question was asked with a view to then dismantling the village and moving it. Hope this helps. If it has happened to you then report it and the accounts responsible will be suspended.

BS

Would be nice, but until I see a CSR act on it, or a dev statement, or at least a screanshot......

Personally, I'd say good luck to him. What is he doing apart from playing a corrupt politician? Sounds like good RP to me!

Why would anyone want to change game mechanics just because something happens they don't like? *baffled*

Because its wrong, even according to the devs. It doesnt hurt when its not happening to you. As a mayor I can say that. If someone tried to take my town I'd go take theirs. They could choose between keeping their own or taking mine. I think most of the time they'd backpedal.

Well all you would have to do is give one person zoning rights and he can drop as many stuctures as he wants within a 24hr peroid and sadly can transfer then to whoever he wished and they can declare residence in the town so yes a city takeover is possible and indeed very sad that someone would stoop so low.

For future reference as SOON as the person places a house and yes a milita member should be there at all times then the rights should be revoked so you dont get buttheads like this doing malicious things.

in our town WE place the structure for the person then transfer it to the new player to make sure that we get it where we want it facing the way we want it so that people are not just dropping houses just anywhere and not only that WE keep the control.

have a great day hugs

perhaps he is not trying to mess up your city. perhaps he just wants to become a king lol u know have several citys under his control, this would have a down and upside

downside-he won't have time to take care of the city like he could

upside-he will have the recources to help your city grow.

Here's a thought for you. I want to roleplay a thief.

Say for example you own a mall, so you give me admin to place a vendor. While your back is turned I steal your display suits of Mandalorian armour,RIS,factional armour, your jetpack, your Jabba miniature, your 3 AV-21 deeds on a counter, your Trandoshan hunting rifle, 2 ADKs.

But hey, it's allright, I'm roleplaying a thief.

It's a game, and whatever roleplaying argument you wish to put forward it is completely unacceptable to ruin another persons game experience.

As it is we won, and a valuable lesson was learned. If it was up to you we'd be a few houses in the desert now.

When someone tells you that in advance, that is griefing. File a CSR ticket.
