Thread: Eviction Option should be available to Mayors

I completely agree with mayors being able to evict people and their houses and items. This goes along with inactive houses and condemned houses. There was a time when any facility without maintenance would be destroyed, and I believe it should be that way again.


If a Mayor were to evict a citizen, it could be made so the player has to be notified through the city hall management console, and the player's 7 day timer starts on their next login.

I've been a mayor for as long as my character can remember... Do you know how long politicians have asked for something like this..

When a player quits the game or is going to be gone for a while, they should be able to pick up there house automatically.

The problem is that a lot of players (and a lot of mayors too - sadly enough) add tons of maintenance before they quit the game so their house/town/whatever will still stay there for an eternity... Very unfair too when "dead towns" take up spots for shuttleports...

If this got implemented, you would never see a new Mayor in a town again, because a Mayor could simply evict his competition if he didnt like them.


You are asking for a city to be handled like a PA and PAs are designed to be dictitorial, cities are meant to be governed publically.


I said this in the Poli forum guess Ill say it here...


when it comes to commands like what youi are asking for, really what you are asking for is for player cities to be a function of a PA and the guild management not a independent profession. I think this is true given how many cities are little more than an outgrowth of the PA (just not many multi PA cities in SWG)


SO how bout that instead.....DELETE the Politician profession, and move all city commands to the PA leader or militia members he designates. (Politician has been negated as a indepent profession due no SP reqsand I find VERY FEW Politician players who actually PLAY the profession.Most just use it as a means to get perks for their PA.


I think that fits more to the reality of SWG player cities..then you can abolish the election system since most mayors cant handle competiton anyway.
