But all fo you be aware of this type of scam where if your not paying attention some joker can gank ur town by running for mayor if your out of town for a week or two and rob your treasury... Ask someone to watch the town when your leaving game for more then a week

I don't know what you mean by "resigned" as there is no way to resign. A mayor can choose not to run in the election and get voted out (as mine just did), but there is no way to resign.

A valid question but remember when someone registers for mayor they can vote for themself - so technically it only takes one vote to win the race (if there are no other candidates registered)

This is voting question from a new mayor.

If you are running for mayor, do you need half the citizens votes in order to become mayor even if the Incumbent has quit the race?

Or if they quit the race you automatically win?

Thanks.

Whoever has the most votes at the end of the three-week cycle wins the election. If no one is running, it defaults to the incumbent. You can only register to run during the first two weeks of the election, but you can withdraw from the race at any time.

Wrong, when you aremayor there is an option on the voting booth to RESIGN. Check your facts before you troll someones post.

The sad thing is it is very hard to get players in a city to take the time to vote. And since xp is based off the number of votes it takes forerver to get xp. I have been at it since January and amd still not master.

The option on the voting booth to resign is to withdraw from the election. You cannot resign from office; you must be voted out.
