Thread: New incumbent vote system : a means for takeovers ?

in short, this system says to player groups and pas that they should be at least online in each cycle, whatever their real life circumstances, jobs, children, viwes/husbands dictate, else they will lose their cities to anyone that might chance to succeed.
this is plain idiotic. people have bills, taxes, project dates to schedule. now, 'vote for pa mayor so that city wont go bust' will be added to them.

This is why im glad my city is one guild only...we only let those who are in our guild in...
Voters have to be citizens, so if theres a rival guild that wants to come in and take over...why let them place? Afterall, zoning can be turned on, derailing anytime...unless if its an inside job.
This -can- be a problem for multi-guild towns, as opinions and disputes can get in the way...for that scenario, everyone would have to agree on one mayor (plus theres little incentive coming in and taking over as a novice mayor, if your existing mayor is a master...)

our pa city has zoning by permission for over 1 years now.
also we do not allow non pa members to be citizens.
however, as you all know, after such a long time, there are ppl who was pa members one time and had been made citizen, who quit the pa and joined other guilds but not left the city.
there are even accounts which changed hands via ebay.
on top of that, even if there were no citizens present, any rival pa can put a few men into any guild by creating new characters.
i dont suggest that pa cities should feel themselves safe.
