Mayors should be able to place a faction recruiter in the city, like they can with trainers. What do you guys think?

long over due....YES

and it should not matter what faction the mayor is. place either or both...great for pvp events or multi-factioned cities.

A mayor that is also a Colonel of a faction should be able to!

With rank comes priveledge... Cities would still be able to have both, but the mayor would have to either be unseated by the opposing factions candidate, or buy/grind up the other tree... Talk about PACs and Interest groups!!

P.S.- Can't you just let someone with zoning rights establish a base in the city? Aldera, Corellia on Starsider has a Rebel Base right off the shuttle.

yes, this will bring cities more into the GCW - ive always liked the idea of having factional NPCs patrolling around a City and more factional items within a City, it brings more of a personal feel to fighting in the GCW and if Recruiters get placed in Player Cities, this would be the first step.

With the way bases work now it's almost a necessity to have this come out. A PvE base is the only recruiter one there is however they don't last a day thanks to combatants being able to blow 'em at their leisure. There is basically no way to have a readily available recruiter in the field anymore. This isn't necessarily a bad thing but it just takes time away from the fights.

Both should be able to be dropped in multi-faction cities regardless of the mayor's rank or faction. He's not getting squads to roam the streets he's getting a beaurocrat to sit behind a desk and file.

Why not take this one step further and allow the mayor to hire a police force, NPC's of your faction that would patrol the city and eliminate hostile players, and players that have been /citywarned

I like the idea - would be nice to hire a faction recruiter in addition to the faction missions terminal...

I had the same idea back in March when the new GCW changes took shape. I'd still love to see it implemented.

and it would also bring cities closer together and more active. lets say a few friends who live beside eachother decide to go ouvert and go kill some people from the other faction, then on their way there they bump into another person who is on their way to go ouver and when they get there another person. now instead of having two they have four and now it shows city harmony.

and city NPC police force sounds cool. but it shouldnt be for everyone. how about if you master pistoleer, rifleman, cabineer. you then get the ability to place a special structure where you can buy/train police. you then place them about the city. BUT you have a limit of 1 for level 1, 2 for level 2. 4 for level 3. and 5 for level 4. AND to place the police you must be a city militia or mayor. AND if you are taken off one of thoughs jobs the police cease to exist and your building is rendered useless. AND only one person can provide police per city.
