I have actually been thinking of a colluseum fora while and think it is the oen thing that is missed.


A PvP guild could hold proper tournaments, with chairs around for people to sit and watch. However i never though of npc's. Would be a nice way to gain some money I guess.


They invented the Jedi Enclaves to act as these, but obviously for Jedi Knights only. But seing as no one ever goes to the Enclaves on farstar, except to gain a rank, they should add something where everyone can take part. And perhaps make it a little like what we saw in Episode, with creatures, tamers on mounts, etc. Definately something to be considered for CR/U/B or GCW revamp.

Master TK, Fencer, Swordsman, Pikemanget anarena.


Master Rifleman, Pistoleers, Carbiners get a shooting range.


Master Rangers or CH get a farm,either flora oranimal.


This would greatly help player cities, and I believe that the cities should be at least level 3 to place some of these structures. On another note, ALL structures (cantina and hospital) should be outfitted with some way to enhance the players ability. Like hospitals get a bonus for med use, just an example. The farm would be cool since they could give a DECENT (not to take away from hunting) amount of meat. I don't want to take away from those who hunt the meat. What would the arena, and shooting range do for those classes though? I haven't come up with that one yet. Also, with any structure there would be a cost to maintain the place. More specifically the farm since anyone using it to sell their resouces would have a cost to go with any profit they make. Again not trying to kill those who still hunt for meat, and useextractors for flora. I still believe that player cities are way to under used! Minus keeping a house to craft in, I'm rarely in a player city. Even my vendors are in a merchant tent outside Coronet. Also, all structure should be crafted by an architect. Yes more money for me! mwwahahaha!


Capetin, great thread! I hope others will embrace this idea, and post their thoughts on it.

If you happen to become a brawler i think you should get some bonuses for it in the housing area. Entertainers get to place cantinas and theaters, doctors med centers. So why not give the master brawler or tkm, master Sword, master onehand, and master pike a building to place to?

The arena would be a place for betting and fighting. You could actually set up npc fighters into the ring or pvp and let them go at it. A new fight could start every 30 minutes(or whatever) and you could bet on them. The arena would look kinda like a the colloseum but differnt for differnt worlds.

But ifthey do that marksmans and scouts will complain because they will want to place something. But i like the idea of placing a kind of arena in the city would be cool.

Your right. Shooting range. And harvesting plant. Got it all coverd.

Shooting range, a place for marksmen to practice shooting and hang out. Actual npcs to shoot at and gain exp. Same as arena with regards to betting.

Harvesting plant, drop a critter in and get more resources(if crafters can have harvesters why cant scouts?) they may have to make a option to take the critters body.

I must admit im not to keen on the Idea of scouts. if they gave resources loot or xp then people would just grind in tehre which would be stupid, they ened to be fun. These sould be combat based, if people dont have a combat prof then simply they cant place it or enter fights in it. Harvesting resources would jsut bring grinders in and take the fun out.

Did i say exp on the scout thing? I meant that they would just get more resources from the animal. And maybe the fact that the builidings would have matinance would make people discouraged.

Okay for a recap for those of you who didn't read it all. Ranged fighters-shooting range. No exp but make money by betting. Learn quick and temporary skills maybe? Im not talking going up levels or anything. Colloseum/arena, brawler type deal, betting and fighting. Also scouts and rangers get the factory thing and it doesnt give them exp just more hides maybe by like 5%.

RANGERS DON'T WANT FARMS.


If we wanted to be farmers, we would not have a combat profession. We would dress in coveralls and have poopy on our boots and be grossly underpaid for our efforts in supply meat/hide/bone. Not that we aren't grossly underpaid now, we just don't wear overalls and we do at least get to PvE. Farming steps on too many toes, would be non-profitable, and is NOT supported by Scouts/Rangers.


Your idea for an arena is not bad.


Your idea for a farm is freaking stupid and has been flamed over and over and over again.

You want 5 stars, do some research first.

The Arena idea is okay... it does strike me that it's another example of the combat professions wanting their cake and eating it, but I can live with it to a certain extent... perhaps if politicians or entertainers were the ones controlling the arenas, not the brawlers and other combat types... might provide some interesting new facets to their lives.


It was mentioned in passing about harvesting plants for Scouts (and I presume you also mean Rangers by that)... that idea is a terrible one. It's been around the houses several times and would not work. I'd advise you to go look through old search threads and read up on why it won't work as JB suggested.


Bad idea, no support amongst Scouts or Rangers, sucks the big one.


Good luck with Arenas though
