Hello all! I am a new chef on bloodfin and I seem to be having an issue similar to a previous post about sales. I don't seem to be pushing much out the door despite a decent location, planetary map registration, cheaper prices than I have seen anywhere and a good stock of Ahrisa, Vasarian and Havla.

So I am only a 10 pt. chef right now so I can't make the same top of the line stats as I see in many places but my stuff isn't horrible either. So I have priced it cheaper to make up the difference in stats between my shop and other chefs. I am currently working on getting Advertising IV so I can have a barker droid to help advertise my wares and I should have it in another day or so.

I got some good ideas from the other post on how to help out business but my question is this...What do you the seasoned chefs find are the most popular foods? I mean what do I absolutely NEED to have in order to get people to buy from me? I know ahrisa and vasarian are absolute requirements but what else is required for a decent menu?

Also, the stuff I am making has the following stats. Is this just not good enough to compete? Should I wait until I can get 12pts. before I'll really see any regular business?


Vasarian +403 for 40 or 42 Minutes with 50 fill (I can't remember the duration and I can't log on right now)
- I have confirmed that you can double up the dose of this even though it is 50

Ahrisa +401 for 44 Minutes with 33 fill

Havla +101 for 25 heals

Any comments from the pro's out there? I have spent a ton in additives, resources, etc. and I am not seeing any real returns....

If I were you, I'd try and get time to 45 on brandy and ahrisa. It will mean a few points off effect, but that way your customers can have two on the go at all times.

Ideally, you want 400+ and 45 mins. I found that filling 50 and 45mins would still sell, even if below 400.. probably because buyer can keep two on the go at all times with that time and filling. If your time is less than 45, they are brandyless or one-brandied for a time and most people do not like that. If you've got regular customers, check with them. Or make both and see what goes.

Bivoli: how great? Hmmmm. Very good, unless you have uber addies and you are aiming for 25. I find I can hit 24 easily (12 point chef, I should point out, though), but 25 is much harder. (Lord how I hate 24.8 bivoli).

For your skill tapes, I'd suggest trade fora. That's where I got mine.

Do you think the 45 minute duration is more important than power over 400? I have always thought that it has to be over 400 to sell then worry about duration. I think I can get to 380 - 390 with 45min duration depending on how many amazings I get. It would be nice to get more experimentation points. I am +3 in tapes away from being 11pts. Hopefully I can find some more tapes to get it. It would be a big help.

On Bivoli how great does the carnivore meat have to be? Can it be just ok if your other resources are great or does it too need to be great quality to make decent bivoli?

Personally i think that 45m duration mark is 100x more important than the buff size. The 380-390 power w/ 45m duration is a much more desirable food in my book, as you wont have a period of having a full stomach.. It's just SO annoying having a full stomach w/ no food buffs..

Bivoli... yes... you need high PE and OQ on the vegetables and meat to be able to hit +25

if that doesn't work, then try to get 40% in Quantity, that will give you 3 uses (that should be able with 3 points) then put as many as you have left in Nutrition.
With luck you reach 24. YOu should be able to reach 23 at least though.
It will sell, not for as much as +25/3 of course but it will.
Oh and just so you know. +24.00000 is EXACTLY the same as +24.999999. its both +24. So if you can't reach +25 don't waste points to get to 24.8 or so

And do an announcement on the trade forum, stating your stats (be honest about it) and prices there
