How do I go about harvesting berries, water and fruit for grinding off Desserts III? Would it be worth it to buy harvesters instead of just buying the materials in the bazaar? If so, what harvesters would I need? Any directions would be appreciated.

Well, it depends on how much initial capital you've got, how much time you have free to maintain the harvesters, and whether or not you've got a local flora vendor who stocks what you need.
First, you won't find nearly enough for sale on the bazaar. Even with the raised cap of 6k, you're rarely going to find anything larger than a 1k stack, and you're going to need tens or hundreds of thousands. You can try checking the "Vendors -> resources" listing on the planet map, maybe put a post in your galaxies trade forum with a "willing to buy..." thread. I've found that resource vendors rarely carry flora, and if they do it's almost alwaysLokian wheat and Dantooine berries for doctor components, but you might be able to make a deal with someone.
The best bang for your buck would be medium flora harvesters (called automated flora farms) and medium moisture harvs (called moisture vaporators). These generally have a BER of 9 or 10 (Base Extraction Rate, how many units they pull up ina minute on a 100% concentration). They cost 60 credits in maintenance and 50 units of power per hour. Heavies top out at 13 BER, and cost 90creditsand 75 power per hour.
If you want to be completely self-sufficient you may want to get a solar generator too so you can get your own power. But most servershave some players who are dedicated power brokers, they usually sell radioactive for around 2cpu. I find that more convenient than harvesting my own power, plus it saves a lot or two.
Medium and heavy harvesters can be pricy (depending on your current bank balance), on my server generally 50-75k for mediums and 100k+ for heavies. But once that's paid, the resources themselves are going to be pretty cheap, generally less than 1cpu when you take into account maintenance, power and travel costs, much less than you'll be able to find it for sale.

Again, I am back off about a 1 year break, so bear with me. Am I understanding this right that you need 6 branches and 24 boxes to be promoted to Padawan. May not have explained this correctly, but I do understand the concept, i think. My question is, after reaching this point, is there a new Jedi skill tree opened for that character? One including making lightsabers. Also, what happens to the other skills I have gained up to this point? Finally, when a second character slot is opened and I can make that one anything I want, is it possible to get credits/items to this character from my first one without using another person? Thanks in advance.
