Thread: Is there a way to stack food up?
How do you split food up???
I could get so much more mileage out of my beer stock if I could cut them down to single-serving portions, maximizing my shifts and resources!
Instead, I've never been able to split up artisan-level foodstuffs like Jawa Beer or melons.
Any help? -Pogo
Hmm. I have personally never used the split method but it has shown up on my radial menu for food/drink that I have crafted. It does take a moment for it to appear, much like harvest does on a corpse. Then again, maybe it only works on items that have been experimented on, or have higher uses than the default.
i havent actually tried this, but i think if you make food in a factory then it goes into a "crate" which can be removed from the factory.
so you might not be able to stack food up, but you might be able to sell a crate that contains a lot of stuff.
But alas, factory food is always only 1 serving instead of multiples. Unknown if this is truly a bug or not. I have not seen a dev respond either way. Also there is no way to look inside the crate to get item descriptions/uses/total count. Hopefully that IS a bug. Otherwise chefs will have the same problem that tailors have selling crates of components: "Hey, I want to buy this crate, but how much is in there?"
