The problem that novice chefs have is that everyone wants drinks, and you have to give away your food. Not until mixology 1 does anyone want a chef drink. On the battlefield though, no one is going to buy your items, they'll expect you to give it to them since you're grouped.

True timber i agree, but i found even Mix 1 bad, wasn't till mix 2, people came to my vendor to buy on regular basis.

You might not be able to sell on battle field, but you can generate interest which is lacking right now. Once they see the effects of your items in real combat situations, you can email them a waypoint of your vendor, or the bar you bartend in, and they maybe a new costumer. Building a costumer base, is probably worth giving out a few drinks.

But your right this doesn't work till higher in tree, hopefully they fix it.

thats what ive been doing lately making sunburns in my exp group .. but I lose money this way and there is no real good loot in this game besides the exp.. but im noy getting that because im at the camp using my food and chemical driod making food.

I think one of the keys is to get to the point where you can make items that people want to consume that are in the Chef tree. Right now, I give away Wastril bread to anyone that'll take it, I doubt many eat it all. However, there's always a demand for Corellian Ale, Gin, Rum, etc. in the cantinas. Once I can make those and sell them to customers, I will be getting UXP for items I can regularly distribute, increasing my rate of advancement.

One of my friends thats an weaponsmith already has ads posted on his vendor(renamed CDEF's priced too high for anyone to buy them) recommending people using her carbines(with high health and action drain) to go next door and buy some tatooine sunburn from my vendor. I'm gonna do this with all the weapon and armorsmiths in my guild and it should make some difference. Also, once ad barking is working properly the npc vendors should be able to more effectively forward people to the right places.

I always prepare myself some sunburn if I'm going to be wearing armor to battle. Its absolutely essential to me. (Why the guy doesn't just take off his armor while resting is odd to me though)

short history. After getting to mix 3 on ahazi, i got tried of crafting. It was taking me hours aday to manage my harvesters. Would need to run combat missions becuase my sales weren't high enough. And gave up on chef, i had a few loyal costumers, but that was it couldn't generate much interest. So i put Rai in cold storage, to return once chef got fixed alittle.

And started a combat character on ecilpse. Out hunting last night in a group. One carbine specialist would deplete his green, or red bar, 2mins into battle without a mob touching him. Because of his armour it took him forever to regenerate. His specials where killing him, full auto and leg shot. So i said try some of this, gave him some starshine surprise i bought from a budding chef in town. The results where good he could stay in combat longer without depleting his ham bars by himself.

He said this stuff is great, i need more. Explained to him about tatooine sunburn and what that would do for his situation. "1500 are you serious, i thought food was just a social item in game, wow i need that stuff, can you sell me any" he replied. Ignoring his comment about food being social item (that would just make me angry). I informed him sorry this is my combat character, my chef is on ahazi.

Maybe us chefs need to get out the kitchen into the battlefield. When we see people specials killing them, or long wait times due to slow regeneration, tell them to try out our product. Maybe the cantinas and food crafting station are wrong places for us.

So pack your foodcrafting station droid, your cdef pistol, and head to lok, and join a hunting party, it just might work..............................................hehe if not atleast you'll have fun.

Hehe that's a good point, but I really don't want to be forced to have to go out into the field. Isn't /shouting in a busy area enough advertising? It's ashame that people won't believe you until they actually try it for themselves...
