planning to dabble in chef with my character (see sig).

Checked out the foods listing the chef correspondend posted in the sticky above, and alakazam's character builder tool...

the only things i need to make for my character to buff 'sself is entrees2 and the 'barman' tree box2.

My question is, does chef experimentation really affect the outcome? last I heard it didnt. If it does, by how much would you say?

'Foolish boy. Don't you know anything about Fantasia? It's the world of human fantasy. Every part, every creature of it, is a piece of the dreams and hopes of mankind. Therefor, it has no boundaries.'
'But why is Fantasia dying then?'
'Because people have begun to loose their hopes and forget their dreams. So the nothing grows stronger. It's the emptiness that's left. It's like a despair, destroying this world. And I have been trying to help it.'
'But why?'
'Because people who have no hopes are easy to control. And whoever has control has the power'

A lot. With Cooking 4 I know I have been able to experiment off the negative stats of some foods, with the right ingredients. If you are tight on points, I would suggest at least getting to Cooking 3 if you can. It makes worlds of difference

The experimentation is absolutely key to making decent foods ... with most recipes. Sunburns are a bit different, in my view, because the base buff is high enough thatfurther experimentation is a matter of diminishing returns. I try to get my sunburn buffs in the +1700 range, but that doesn't make them so much better than sunburns that are already +1550 without experimentation. So ... it seems to me that if all you're looking for is Sunburns, getting MixII and Cooking II is probably sufficient. Use the experimentation to max out quantity.

Experimentatoin is pretty incredible. About a 50-100% improvement in whatever you choose to improve. I'll go so far as to say it's necessary.

I agree 100%.

Food is already bad enough....and its atrocious w/o experimentation.
