I have just come into possession of a cloth attachment with a - 4 to food Assembly.

What does this do and how much should i be asking for it?

I am on the bria galaxy

Unless that's a typo, you're unlikely to find someone to buy an attachment that makes us worse at assembling food.

The Experimentation tapes go for some decent money, mostly because you have to accumulate at least +10 worth to get an extra experimentation point. The assembly tapes are a little more sporadic, because any benefit you get is hidden inside whatever calculations the game does on your initial assembly. If you were on Chilastra (and it was a +4 not a -4), I'd probably offer 30-40k.
