I made a bunch of crates of various components, and I am wondering where the pricing would be prohibitive for chefs.
At 10cpu (mid range price if I have to buy em) They break down to:
Light 600creds per tissue
Med 800creds per tissue
Heavy 1200 creds per tissue
Are these costs high, or can I raise them some.
Thanks

If i'm buying resources, its usually 10c/u for meat and 3c/u for flora (at most). With the new milking, since it'll still be in low quantities and still rarer to get than meat I'd hope not more than 20c/u. Since the tissues have different types of meat and amounts, it'll vary between base costs, e.g.
light power (20 organic, 15 flora food, 15 creature food) = 35*3+15*10=255c
light quantity (20 organic, 20 cereal, 20 wild meat) = 40*3+20*10=320c
light filling (20 organic, 20 domesticated meat, 20 wild meat) = 20*3+40*10=460c
light duration (20 organic, 20 milk, 25 flora food) = 45*3+20*20=535c
Add onto that the time and effort getting the resources, as well as factory vs manual production and any profit you want - these prices could be quite high (again, if all the resources are bought at high expense).
But striking business deals with Rangers, or buying in bulk, could easily drop prices quite a bit to say:
light power (20 organic, 15 flora food, 15 creature food) = 35*2+15*6=160c
light quantity (20 organic, 20 cereal, 20 wild meat) = 40*2+20*6=200c
light filling (20 organic, 20 domesticated meat, 20 wild meat) = 20*2+40*6=280c
light duration (20 organic, 20 milk, 25 flora food) = 45*2+20*10=290c
Go that bit further and run your own harvestors, and you're looking at less than 1c/u for the organic/flora, with just meat and milk resource costs to take into consideration.
Really depends on your resource costs.

Thats a good idea for pricing, I really want to make it so that it is worth it for a chef to buy them.

I never would.
Simply put, I would have to charge 20c per resource used to my customers to actually make a profit over a BE who charged me 10c per resource on his crates.
It's not worth it.

I have already been using BE additives and making a profit.
I calculate what I charge for food, then I just add in the BE additives cost with a little overage for my time.
I make the original profit I would have already made for my food, plus the customer gets a greatly enhanced product.
Win win

Domestic Meat is harder to come by than Wild Meat, so would have to charge more than 10cpu for that. I'd say 20cpu for Domestic and 10cpu for Wild Meat.
Then it also depends on the quality of the resources you use and the quality of the additive you make, as this does make a different on the final food product.
I tested this on Won-Won. With no BE Additive, I got about +200.
With a low-quality BE Additive (for nutrition), I got about +340.
With a high-quality BE Addition (+54), I got about +480.
That's the limit of my test, I'm also at work so the numbers aren't exact, just a ball-park from my memory.

I currently selling my additives for 800-1550 credits per item. thats nearly the same price chefs selling there "unboosted" food to the customers. so if you "boost" it the customer has to pay 2x the price he would normaly pay and gets a food that has 3-4 x the stats.
A clear win-win-win for all people who are involved :-)
So if you playing on gorath and want to have a look at my chef-additives, just send me a mail and i send back a wp to my vendor, or we can talk ingame directly.

Tygi

damn r u serious 250K for 1 crate? I havent gotten any BE additive yet..but i can make a +200 46min 10use 49filling....how much would be reasonable for a crate and individual? As soon as my Guild BE makes me some stuff...it will be better..but i would like to make some for the NOT-SO-Financially Secure people.

yes for a crate of casks.. 18 uses - 25 items - 409 buff -42 mins- 49 filling
non BE I would charge half that.
Used properly, Vasarian Brandy is VERY powerful.

Yeah the bazaar is a good thing. Especially if you target the high PvP areas and let the people on your server know that they can get good food from the bazaar in those areas. They will buy up everything and fight all night long. Good idea!!

The additives GREATLY enhance the food. Charge your customers accordingly. I just sold a crate of 25 BE enhanced Vasarian Brandy in casks (49 filling +409 buff 42 mins 18 uses) for 250k.
