I've been wondering this for a while. Skill bonuses are to cap out at +25. We have many foods and drinks that have a bonus to skills but I am wondering if making that bonus more than 25 is plain worthless?
What about attack accuracy, unarmed damage, melee defense, ranged defense, defense vs stun/dizzy/blind, fire resist, block bonus?
It would be great to know, especially if anyone has done any research.

food bonuses add to the base modifier so they do not apply to the +25 cap from skill tapes, etc.
However, with melee defense, dodge, etc., i'm not sure if the new template stacking hard cap applies to food buffs. It would be nice if we could get an answer on this.

Some of you have noticed this item in the patch notes for the test center: Defensive Modifiers will have a hard cap with profession template stacking. Defense stacking will no longer stack beyond the intended combat calculation limits causing the defender to be nigh invulnerable. I asked the developers how this will effect food, and the answer is that it won't. This cap comes in before "situational modifiers." Situational modifiers includes food buffs, squad leader bonuses and city bonuses, amoung other things. Which means they put a limit on the base defense number, but you can add to that number with buffs.
