Hey there!
Does anyone know what happens if you place a food experimentation clothing tape on a crafter's apron (chef's apron with +5 food experimentation bonus)?
Will I lose the tape if I use it on this apron?
Thanks!!

There's a known issue that skill tapes won't stack when put into a piece of clothing that already has the same skill bonus. So putting a +food experimentation tape into a crafter's apron (which already has +5) won't work quite how you'd expect it. You end up with whatever is higher: the +5 from the apron or whatever bonus is on the tape.
So if you put a +4 tape in the apron, it will stay +5. If you put a +6 tape in, the apron will become +6.
The skill tape friday feature a while ago mentioned that you could stack tapes (as long as you stayed under some per-clothing cap), so I'd think that tapes are intended to stack, it's just kind of low on the dev's priority list.
For right now, put the tape into some other piece of clothing.

Well, that's the problem. I made a big mistake and finally got all the 20 points necessary to get 12 points. But I ran out of clothing pieces to attach everything ... All I need is one more piece of socketed clothing ...

The max pieces of clothing you can wear at one time is 8. If you can't make +20 before/at the eight, you're still going to be in the market for attachments. Sucks they don't stack atm

Don't forget the belt and bandolier slots. Sometimes people overlook those two. Using a bandolier will make you not able to use a backpack, but since I assume you're making a crafting set of clothes, not using a backpack for the 2 minutes it takes to combine food shouldn't be a problem. Also, I think that you cannot put skill attachmenst into backpacks as it's bugged atm, which is really silly. Nice job getting the +20 though, I'm at +10 and it seems no one on Tarq has other food tapes for sale, hehe.
