Thread: Sub-Component Questions

Hi all,

I'm trying to get some definitive information on Sub-Components. Namely, which do and do not have to be identical factory run components. Current listing that I care about is:

Trim

Cask

Alchohol

Carbosyrup

Dough

Soypro

Bantha Butter

Sweet Cake Mix

Protato

Light Additives - Must be factory run identical

Medium Additives - Must be factory run idential

Heavy Additives - Must be factory run identical

I'm asking this as I've heard Cask runs can be mixed, but I haven't been able to do this... BUT, I rename my runs to help tell them apart as I didn't know some could be combined. So Run 1 would be "Cask (89j30jdf)" and Run 2 would be "Cask (jdhe673j)". By renaming them like this, am I preventing myself from using them together where possible?

Appreciate!

The best way to check is to make a schematic and look at the ingredient list (included when you examine the schematic in your datapad). Components that require a factory run will have a serial number listed next to the component name. Components that do not need to be identical will have a "box" character.

Protato, carbosyrup, alcohol, and bantha butter have all shown up with serial numbers in schematics I've looked at recently. Drink containers (casks, large glasses, small glasses) have the box.

I have seen some reports (although I have come across it myself) that while the schematic doesn't require identical serial numbers on the containers, it does check the item name. So if you make a schematicusingcasks named"Cask May24" won't use crates named just "Cask". The opposite may not be true; you can use "Cask May24" with a schematic made with "Cask".
