Heya all I've been a master Chef for a few weeks have setup my merchant tent and vendors. But, I'm really struggling to find a Master BE to make additives for my food and drink!

I have 2 solutions, 1 drop merchant and hope they don't patch things so if you don't have merchant skill you lose vendor and take up be myself. My second character is a TKM so finding meat should be easy enough.Or should I keep searching for a Master BE?

Any thought or assistance would be helpful. I am on the Flurry server btw

check the skill builder as I think you might be able to fit in enough merchant to have a vendor (advertising 3 is really all you need) and still have bio engineer, but the real question is, do you plan to hunt your own meats, factory runs of additives take 20k meat each for a full run, if you can fit in the time to harvest and still make foods, go for.

Personally I have a guild that helps with meat, I couldn't imagine trying to keept he store stocked and spending all day hunting too.

Unless you have two charaters... 1) Chef / BE and 2) hunter to get meat...

The real problem you run into is a meat shortage.

I buy LOTS from differnt BE and they also make me schematics whenever I request it. I went Master Chef / Merchant / Artisan.

It works great for me. Also, Enhancers take forever to make..and tie up my factories. I think I have the best of both worlds.

If I really need a schematic its NP..just send a tell to one of my BE suppliers.

Having a reliable source of BE enhancements is critical to being a successful chef. If you have one then merchant may be more useful, otherwise I'd go Master BE.

I've though of getting schematics a few times from a BE. I can gather huge amounts of flora and other materials needed for nutrients easily. Not sure on the BE on my server though if the're willing to produce schematics.

Schematics are an iffy issue, I actually brought the point up on the BE forums, and many there replied with some rather angry words when the subject of schematics was brought up heh. For me it's a matter of convenience, which is why I'm gonna master BE, I can get my additives when I want them, can fully customize them to my liking and my production isn't limited to when another person has the time to do it..hey I don't expect bio engineers to spend every waking hour online producing tissues for me.

I guess I'm saying, why go through /tells and /emails looking for bio engineers who are most likely swamped or simply don't want to be bothered with responding? Go ahead and master it, or make a deal with your guild bio engi if you have one.

I agree, I picked up BE and it was a great decision.

I set it up to my Master Chef is also the Merchent, and my Alt is a combat + scout, and BE so I can gather meat and make additives.

It's a great profession to have and you'll really love sampling, lol.

Oh my, yes! We all think sampling is the best part of Bio Engineering!

Yep. you should get out there and try it.

Honestly, you should have enough points tou take MChef and MBE, and still have some left over for a vendor. And as long as you don't delete your vendor you should be able to keep one that looks decent...rather than the dispense-o-matic model.

I had the most fun I ever had doing DNA sampling. I mastered Chef and did all my crafting 1st(not a good idea btw) so by the time I was doing my sampling I didn't have ANY combat skills. Talk about running scared. I either had tosample with my alt on auto follow, with a guildmate or run for my life screaming like a little girlevery time I got aggroed. Ahh it was fun times though.
