Is there some spreadhead out there that calculates the Experiment % depending on which resourced you used?

Funny you should mention this.
When I read some of the postings today I was thinking the same.
in the FAQ there is a breakdown of how to do this. If has something done already I would appreciate the help as well.
Thanks!

I've...uh....been busy. Yeah, that's it.
I'm thinking my initial plan was a bit too overwhelming. I'm going to see what kind of stuff I can set up in excel.

I'm such a geek. I'm actually really really impressed with myself for this:
It's an Excel 2000 spreadsheet. Everything in blue is calculated, those cells aren't editable (just so you don't have to worry about losing the formulas). If you feel like tweaking, there's no password to unprotect the worksheet.
This does properly take into account missing stats. So if you're making something like Cho-nor-hoola, the lack of PE and Flavor on the Bone will not drag down the calculated percentages, matching what's in the game. That's what the "units with stat" row is for.
I'm pretty sure there aren't any recipes that require more than four non-component resources, but I might have missed one.
I'm not sure what kind of bandwidth limit there is on my personal web space (and with the food chart and FAQ, it's starting to worry me), so if you're planning on using this at all, please make a local copy (right click the link anduse"save as")rather than going to the link everytime.

I could include something like this as my next feature in Tyfo's Chef Calculator
I just have to think it through.
What about assembly?

Tyfo - You sharing that Food Calc anywhere? I would love to get a copy of it. I use Bilbho's a lot, but he hasn't posted a message since 3/31/04 - I think he is taking a break.

Close... but these formulas still need work it seems. I made a very similar spreadsheet myself. In the end, the formulas I used were just as inaccurate at trying to predict initial food values as Sciguy's are. These are very close, but something is definitely off. Here is what I used as test resources for a test glass of brandy.
Resource A: DR 607 FL 823 PE 847 OQ 918
Resource B: DR 640 FL 780 PE 869 OQ 789
When I combine these to make a glass of brandy, I get a product that is 50 filling, 6 uses, 36m30s duration and +170. The values that both my own efforts and Sciguy's spreadsheet predict are, 51 filling, 6 uses, 36m30s and +171. I know they are close but if I can't even predict if a combination will be 50 filling or not these formulas are not terribly useful to me. I do realize my formulas to predict these numbers me be at fault as well. Here is what I used(in excel terms).
Filling =ROUNDDOWN(55-22*(initial percent),0)
Quantity =ROUNDDOWN(4*(initial percent)+6,0)
Duration =FLOOR(30*(initial percent)+30,0.5)/1440
Nutrition =ROUNDDOWN(90*(initial percent)+150,0)
